Chapter 68

We reached the guild, and opened the door to a load of stares. "If they don't stop soon, I'll start an eye collection." I said with a sinister voice, while looking around. Everyone turned their head away from us. We get the quest desk and confirmation the completion of the quest, and get our reward. "Here you keep the reward, i got a lot form the duke." Touya said passing me the bag.

"What about the others." I say, looking between them. "It's fine, we have a bit of money from the duke as well." Linze said with a smile. I put the bag into my storage space, thank the gang, and head out with Ruby, to find a workshop. We walk around asking about a workshop for rent, one nice lady pointed the way to one she knew of, we thank her and head towards it.

We find the place and thankfully it's near our inn. We knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. I hear someone walking towards the door. "Hello, who is it?" A lady shouts trough the door. "We've come about the workshop you are renting." I shout back trough the door. We hear a clanking coming from behind the door.

"Finally someone wants to rent out that old place." She said, opening the door with a massive smile. She looks between me and Ruby. "So which one of you will be renting it?" She asked, with an anticipated look. "Well I'll be paying for it, but we'll both be using the space." I say truthfully, looking at Ruby. "Good, good at least it'll be used. Come in and we'll work out the details." She said ushering us into her house.

We take a seat on a sofa facing another one, this is bring back memories. I get a better look at the lady, she long black hair, a pointed face, bright green oval shaped eyes, and a friendly smile, she looked kinda familiar. "Ah we haven't introduced ourselves, I'm Scarlet and this is my beautiful fiancée Ruby." I say with a smile. She looked kinda shocked at my statement. "You're in a relationship with another girl?" She said with her eyes wide open.

I look at Ruby, and just sigh. "Is that a problem?" I asked getting ready to leave. "No, no, no it's not a problem, I was just wondering, don't you want kids?" She asked. "We can still have kids, this is a world of magic, anything is possible. Plus I've already made a magic for that." I say, thinking of a magic to get a workspace, just in case. "I hope I didn't cause offence, it's just a rare thing in this town. But anyway about the workshop, it'll be about five gold a month." She said getting right back to business.

"Can we see this workshop, I need to visualise what I'll need." I say, deciding to just forget about the other thing. "Sure, sure, oh right I never introduce myself, I'm Sera nice to meet you." She said with a smile. I just stopped dead still, is it her? It can't be, she is back in my world, I might have to go check up on her as a precaution. This can't be my Sera can it, no of course not, not by the way she was so shocked by two girl's dating.

She didn't fan-girl out when she saw Ruby, but Ruby is older now and looks a bit different. I know a way to test it. "Ruby, what do you think Yang is doing?" I ask in a loud whisper, to see if she has any reaction. Ruby just stares at me, then looks at an overexcited Sera. "Is everything ok Sera?" Ruby asked concerned. "You are Ruby Rose?" She asks, nearly jumping up and down. "Yes, how did you know my last name?" Ruby asked confused. "I er um guessed." She said unconvincingly.

"Your not from this world originally, are you?" I ask, trying to hold myself back. "No I'm not, I was from a place called Earth, where this was a anime. I came here after something bad happened." She said with a sad expression.
