The Trip to a Different World

Alex: "But what if it's really just a beautiful world out there? Big seas, huge green lands with like a few big deserts where strange little creatures reside. I mean we still have no idea what we expect to see since none of the first teams came back and we got no footage from there either so there is still a chance to find something cool there."

Alex just like all of his friends was a young boy at the age of 17 but he had the imagination of the greatest authors and movie makers out there. He always believed there is good in everything and everyone that just needs to be discovered and that no one is born evil. He loves helping homeless people and others with disabilities by donating lots of money even though he barely gets any from his work.

Maria: "Don't you hear yourself Alex?!?! A beautiful world? Yeah and even if there really was one why did no one come back from those expeditions to there? They are all dead. We can expect nothing other than a dark space with all types of beasts ready to mercilessly kill us without hesitating. Grow up and realize not everything is good, in fact most things out there are either gonna ignore your pain and suffering just for the money they can get from their work. So much broken relationships and families from those green helljacks called money. There is no reason to believe the theory of a beautiful world when its clear that we won't even come back from this trip."

Josh: "Cmon Maria no need to ruin Alex's dreams. Keep that opinion to yourself because i actually agree with Alex and that strange scientists theory. What if there really is a beautiful world out there, where we can live happily forever? Maybe find special "items" that can help cure diseases such as cancel or HIV. Maybe its so beautiful and calm in that world that everyone that went there refuses to come back to this shithole we call earth. I myself would definitely do that if i had the chance to."

Ana: "You guys just LOVE arguing like little kids, don't you? We heard lots of theories about it but we can't know if they are true or not since none of those crazy scientists went into that world. I mean "a higher plane of existence"? That sounds just as unrealistic as having a beautiful world out there. So i suggest we stop fighting over it and just get on with it and find what really is in there."

All: "Fine then"

Josh: "Well tomorrow we are getting on one of those American Ships and going straight to the little portal place so go and get some sleep. You guys will need the energy for tomorrow."

Not a word was said afterwards but they all went to the hotel they were staying at to get some rest. Everyone had different rooms for some privacy. But while everyone was getting ready to sleep Alex couldn't help it but think of what Maria said. What if there really is just beasts ready to kill them and mad seas ready to eat them? But his thoughts were interrupted by the opening of his hotel room's door. It was Ana.

Ana: "Hey Alex can i come in?"

Alex: "Oh hey there Ana, yeah sure come on inside."

Alex: "So...What brings you here tonight?"

Ana: "I just want to make sure you are okay, you know, after what Maria said. It's not bad that you have wide imagination and always try to find the good in everything but people like her don't really believe in that type of things and even gets mad when people say it. After all it does sound a little unrealistic."

Alex: "Ah don't worry its nothing much i mean it may really sound a little unrealistic i guesse."

Ana: "But don't worry about it, we still have no idea what waits beyond that portal so it could still be the beautiful world you said it could be."

Alex: "I really hope it is so we can finally get out of this shithole."

Ana: "Yeah i hope so too. Also a bit strange of a request but can i sleep the night here?"

Alex: "Why would yo- well if you really wish to sure."

Ana: "Thanks."

Ana laid next to Alex on the bed and very quickly fell asleep. Alex followed. It was a bit of a rainy night. Josh and Maria were already sleeping. The rain poured and poured.

The sun rose from beyond the horizon. Alex and Ana were still sleeping. Josh decided to go and wake everyone up. After all they need to get on the boat today and within a day get to the portal so there was no time to waste in sleeping. As he left his hotel room he was met by Maria who had the same idea in head. So they both decided to go wake up Ana as she was the closest. But when they entered the room she was gone. A little panic overcame both of them but remembered that she might have gone to wake up Alex. Josh entered Alex's room followed right behind by Maria.

Josh: "Well, well, well and if that isn't my little playboy. I knew there is something more going on between you and Ana." said Josh while chuckling a little.

Alex: "No, no its not what it looks like. She came to my room last night and just wanted to sleep here-"

Josh: "Heh save that story for someone who would believe it." chuckled Josh and left the room.

Maria: "C'mon you two we need to eat and get on the ship it's waiting." said Maria with a cold face but they could somehow feel she was laughing inside and then left the room.

Alex and Ana both decided to just ignore the ridicules of their friends and continue the day. It was gonna be a long one. They both changed and went down to the cafeteria of the hotel to eat some breakfast.

Josh: "Well, well did you guys have fun last night?" said Josh with a big, warm smile on his face.

Ana: "Stop is Josh you know we didn't do anything like that i was just too lazy to go back to my room and a little scared." Said Ana clearly frustrated but blushed a little.

Alex: "Stop arguing you guys, we need to eat and get on the ship."

Maria: "Agreed."

They all sat down and ate king sized breakfast. Cereals, eggs, chopped cucumber, bacon and so much more. They ate a lot and left almost nothing as leftovers. Now they were ready to finally get on the ship and go.

After leaving the building everyone entered a limo waiting for them right outside. It was their special car that would escort them to the ship. I didn't take long to get there but it was awkward because no one was talking. Pure silence. But once they arrived everyone got pretty talkative.

Captain: "Ah there you guys are just on time! Get on the ship we are deporting after about 10 minutes. Also Josh can you stay here with me for a second so we can talk about something before we go?"

Josh: "Yeah sure no problem."

The others got on board and immediately started exploring the huge ship they were going to stay at for a whole day.

Josh: "What'cha need?"

Captain: "You do realize how important this mission is, right?"

Josh: "Absolutely! That's why me and my friends want to take it."

Captain: "And you do realize you and your friends are all risking your lives for something that is most likely gonna end up in death for you all, right?"

Josh: "That's a possibility yes but i am pretty confident in our ability to handle this. What's the worst that could happen?"

Captain: "Death is the worst that could happen, Josh."

Josh: "Death? HAH. If that's the worst case scenario then this should be easy." Said Josh who has already overcame the idea of death along with his squad. They are not scared of death, in fact, they want to look Death in the face and laugh out loudly.

Captain: "I like you Josh. So energetic and confident. I just hope you really know what your getting yourself and your squad into because once we get onto that ship there is no going back. C'mon let's get going."

Josh: "Right behind ya."

After both getting onto the ship, the little metal path behind them retreated back on the ship. Josh went to his friends and the captain went in his room. The ship deported and with big speeds went onto the middle of the sea heading towards the portal.

The day passed quickly. The crew and the squad were able to get a little bit of sleep before getting a message from the USA scientific center. The message contained a new discovery. The portal gets bigger and bigger with every day that passes and it's no longer the small little hole it once was. It was the size of an island pretty much. But since that same portal is not physical the discovery came too late. They were already in the zone of it's.

A small turbulence occurred after which the sky got stormy and the ocean's waters as playful as never before. It was hard to control the ship due to the huge waves. But it was all ignored due to the feeling they had. A feeling of transcendence within themselves. They have reached the travel point of the portal and disappeared from the radar. First part of the plan was successful.
