Chapter Five

"I don't think putting huge posters of you, all over Ivory with, 'Ilai the generous' banners is going to lure people, to share their problems with us." Said Tim, looking absolutely dismayed at Ilai's idea, of attracting people's attention.

They were all seated around a wooden table, in Sarah's huge cream themed room, which she thought was exaggeratingly large, even for a princess.

They were trying to figure out how to approach people, to ask their problems and Ilai was not helping.

"It's the best idea we've got, besides, I am very pleasing to look at." Ilai went on.

"It's not like people do not know who we are." Said Carroll.

"We're not worried about how we're going to introduce ourselves, we're worried about how do we get them to trust us, to solve their problems." Sarah said, helpfully.

"Nevertheless, we will be forming a League, so we first need a name." Carroll suggested.

"How about Ilai's league." Asked Ilai. "Pathetic, kindly refrain from shamelessly using your name for our league." Tim groaned.

"Timothy's League?" He asked again, making Tim throw a velvet pillow at him, which he dodged.

"I don't even want suggestions from you anymore, Carroll, Sarah please go on if you have ideas." Said Tim.

"Timmy!" Ilai whined in the background, as they sincerely ignored him.

"It should be something very nice, something really inspiring." Said Carry, thinking deeply.

There was silence, as even Ilai sat on Sarah's bed cross legged, actually thinking.

Sarah got up and gazed out of the window, it was her dream to serve the people of her Kingdom, in her own unique way, with her friends by her side.

The view outside her window was as usual refreshing; flower laden palace gardens and the beautiful river Lore, passing underneath the marble bridge.

Just when she was about to go back to her friends, who were now noisily arguing about some new name, she saw a four leafed fern.

It was the lucky Clover.

"How about we name it Clover?" Asked Sarah, chirpily.

She heard Ilai gasp in awe.

"A group of four friends united by faith, hope, love and luck." Said Tim, grinning, "It is perfect Sarah" he smiled.

Carroll looked really pleased too, as she clapped her hands together.

"The Clover league." Sarah pronounced.

"There's still the question of how do we get people to share their problems with us though." Sarah reminded, settling down on her bed, beside Ilai.

"How about we take help from Victor, like my father, I'm sure, King Bernard discusses people's issues with your elder brother." Said Ilai.

"It always amazes me, how you never use that brain of yours, right from the start." Tim said, looking sharply at his friend.

"Well, 'Ilai the giver of better ideas', is certainly more preferable, than 'Ilai the generous'." Said Sarah, looking sideways at Ilai.

"I'm still determined about the idea of my poster being the best." said Ilai.

"And I, am more determined about the idea of rolling that poster and shoving it in your mouth." Said Carry, glaring at Ilai, who only grinned at her.

"Oh, stop wasting time you two, we need to find Victor." Announced Timmy.

"Victor must be in his study right now, let's go." Said Sarah, leading the way, as her friends followed her.

Victor Ivory, was reading a book peacefully, when his sister barged in his room, with her friends.

"Victor, we have to ask you something," declared Sarah.

Victor looked puzzled.

"Sure, go on." he encouraged.

"What kind of issues do the people of Ivory face?" Sarah asked, innocently.

"There are various kinds of issues." Said Victor, not understanding how exactly, to reply.

"Like?" Sarah asked.

"Like disputes, or robberies, or injustice being done to someone, over something." The Ivory prince said thoughtfully, "why do you ask?" He went on.

"Can we solve them?" Sarah asked.

Victor still, was perplexed.

"Umm, yes Sarah, obviously me and father are very good at-" he was cut off. "No! I didn't mean you and father, I meant us." she said pointing at herself and her friends.

"You kids?" He clearly didn't expect this, "but you are not supposed to, at least until you turn my age." He blurted, taken aback.

"There's no official rule for that, we have graduated from the same Academy, as you have, we hardly are incompetent." Said Timothy.

"You're not incompetent, just immature." Victor explained, scrunching his eyebrows, it actually did make sense, now that he thought about it.

"But how will we mature if you don't give us a chance?" Argued Tim, leaving Victor speechless.

Sarah let Tim speak exactly because of this reason, he never lost in an argument.

"So, what do you want me to do?" Asked Victor, defeated, brushing off brown curls from his eyes.

Sarah was going to ask him to come with them, to help solve people's problems. "Help in convincing King Bernard, to let us work for the people." Interrupted Ilai, even before Sarah could open her mouth to say something.

Victor raised his eyebrows, impressed.

"Alright, I will talk to him." The elder surrendered, smiling at the young bunch of ambitious kids.

"Thanks Victor." They said in unison and dispersed.

Once they were out of Vicky's room, Sarah raised her eyebrows at Ilai.

"We could have done it without involving father." She complained.

"We could have, but it would take a lot of time and effort to get people to trust us." Reasoned Ilai.

"He's right Sarah, people already trust your father, one word from him would mean that we would be sanctioned to authority." Said Tim.

"But the question is, will your father agree?" Probed Carry unsurely, "because if he doesn't, then it's the end of our so called authority." She said.

Carroll did have a point.

"We have already taken the risk, all we can do now is make sure he does agree." Said Tim.

"This time, I have an idea." said Sarah lighting up.

"What, 'Sarah the generous'?" Asked Carry.

"Impossible!" gasped Ilai, looking genuinely victimized.

They all laughed.

"I'm sure Sarah has a finer idea, what is it?" Asked Tim, coming back to the topic.

"Beige Primevelt." Sarah said and they all understood.
