AFTER THE FALL

A week later

Caelum

The Scale of Ardria.

A hearing was going on regarding the incident that had taken place at Zasha's keep, with all the opinions, facts and frustration. The grandmaster was overseeing the preceding himself, as he did when ever Master Philip was involved.

...

"It was your boy who got ma men killed" Zasha was fuming as Philip faced her, "The reason half of my order is dead is your fuckin request," She exclaimed.

Philip smiled a thin smile as the grand master looked up at Zasha,

"Child you will refrain from using such language here," he said calmly

Zasha shook her head, understanding her mistake, "I apologize. But still, Philip's request got my men killed," Zasha spoke her voice calmer and quieter.

"I merely asked you to facilitate Kai in reaching the academy, how you undertook that request led to this, I do not see how my request in itself was the cause," Philip answered seriously.

"It was the cause because your boy was downright being played by that assassin, he should be put to death as per the rules if he ain't already dead," Zasha continued.

"The rules in question do not apply to Kai seeing as he is not an official member of the white wolves, as for proceeding with the charges with him being a normal person, it is as you said he was being played, and as such he bore no intent to harm the Wolf." Philip paused as Zasha shook with anger, her face twitching.

"And as such the circumstances lead to only a warning being issued," Philip finished looking at the grand master, firm in his belief that Kai was still alive.

"HE BROKE IN TO MY CASTLE AND GOT HIM OUT!" Zasha raised her voice.

"If that did happen, you are saying a child with no training broke into your castle and freed your prisoner, you should consider reprimanding yourself instead of pursuing the boy," Philip clicked his tongue speaking calmly.

"He had a demon with him... and the dragon kin."

"Dragons inland? Has this been reported?" Philip raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, it has," Zasha answered.

The grand master looked at both and sighed.

"Zasha your voice has been heard and so has Master Philips argument," The grand master spoke in a calm manner, "by the rules Philip is right but my decision is this." He looked at Philip directly.

"If the boy is alive, as Philip insists, he shall be arrested, have Azmia imprison the boy in a time loop, and issue him a warning. Master Philip is to bear the cost of having the castle reconstructed." He shifted his gaze towards Zasha, "Zasha you may take a break from your duties, mourning the loss of a comrade is important." He with a slight nod continued, "Rest your self-child, you have been through a lot," The grand master finished. As Philip looked surprised but then nodded. Zasha gave a bow and with permission left the premise, leaving the grand master to converse with Master Philip.

In the hallway Zasha came across Azmia, who stood watching the lilies blossom in the yard. "Azmia, do me a favor" Zasha called, pausing beside her.

"Yes, my friend?" Azmia looked at her.

"The boy Philip is sendin to you, Kai. Make sure he dies more than a thousand times."

"I shall see what I can do." Azmia answered not interested in knowing the reason.

"Aye." Zasha nodded again and left.
