Chapter Twelve

"Suh him just gone suh?" Alexia asks for the like hundredth time but I still nod at her.

"Mek mi come over then and we can do something fun until he gets back." She suggests.

I shake my head. "Alexia, this is my first time here."

Alexia's eyes go wide for a second and then she shuffles around her phone. "Babe, gimme one sec. I'm getting a call."

I nod and hang up then pass the rest of the day by watching TV and falling in and out of sleep.

He kisses his teeth. "Jade, it's nothing for you to worry about so just drop it."

"Just believe me when I say if it was a concerning thing then I would definitely let you know." He continues before he reaches out to brush his fingertips against my cheek.

I watch as his lips then slowly turn into a smile. "Did you miss me?"

I shake my head and he holds his hand to his chest to feign hurt. "Well, I missed you."

I raise an eyebrow at him. "Really? What did you miss about me?"

He brings his lips to my ear. "Everything."

My legs tense up from his breath on my neck.
