Chapter 1

bang bang…Bang

Laura tried to open the door from inside but it was locked from the outside . The world seemed to forgot her now ...how can she sleep without a problem and wake up with many gun shots noise in her house …

"Laura don't move from the room…" his chaperone Caden shouted downstairs .

puff puff puff …

She immediately heard some screams

"Caden are you alright??" Laura shouted but there was no answer on the other side.

Two months earlier_ _ _

Laura 

I woke up due to my ringing alarm . l extend my arm to switch it off . It's my daily set time 10am as usual .l remove my quilt and yawn hard .l start to think about my mysterious life .

I am a housewife so there's is no need to crawl out off my bed like an early worm .

My husband is already far with work because he woke up before dawn. He is a Senate and there is no need to work cause he provides all.

We live in a luxurious mansion with many cars and maids . I always get everything l need.

But the choice of being a housewife isn't mine ...it was made by my husband Jacob and that's all l can't make any offenses. Although l have accepted ,it sucks .

Sometimes l wish l could use what l studied but it's impossible as seeing fish swimming in the air or oil mixed with water.

I put aside my thoughts and go for shower. Water splashing all over my body gave me the energy needed for the day. I walked from the bathroom ,apply some lotion and sit infront of my vanity table to dry my hair and put on some light makeup .

I went in the wardrobe and pick up a shirt and trousers and went for breakfast.

"Morning madam " Nanny Lizzie said.

"Morning dear…but don't call me madam again, okay??" I replied

This madam pisses me off .

"My apologies Ms Hamilton " she said

Why can't she understand

" No need of being formal dear …just call me Laura " l said.

"Okay Laura , eat your breakfast before it gets cold ." Lizzie uttered

"Thanks " l smiled and went .

The dining table was arrange well ,l sat down and eat my slices with butter and milk with some fruits .

It was yummy…Nanny Lizzie knows my favorites and she is like my mother ever since l entered this yard .She always show me affection .

She also taught me some cooking tips and l really envy her.

I don't know what to do within the day so l open the TV and start to watch news.

As usual there was nothing new but when l was about to switch it off…

Something caught my eye…

How can this be possible

"The current Senate Jacob Hamilton is running in elections as president candidate… " news reporter said .

He didn't tell me even a single piece of news …

I immediately switch it off and took the keys of one of our cars and l hed towards his office.
