The Man With A Wife Doesn't Play Outside At Night

With others present, Lynn casually said to Nomsa for the sake of his face, "Let's eat together."

"Alright." After she said that, Lynn's expression changed slightly. She continued,  "But I can't today. I want to eat with my colleagues. Let's eat another day." Lynn didn't like Nomsa, so he didn't want to eat with her. Hearing her refusal, he looked relaxed and much kinder. "Alright, you can go now." At this time, Vicky suddenly turned her head and smiled at Lynn, "Dad, try this. I think that their dishes taste good today." Lynn smiled and said, "You eat it yourself. You've lost weight recently." It was harmonious. Vicky smiled contemptuously at Nomsa as if she was saying, "You are so poor. Your parents don't love you." It had to be admitted that Vicky had stabbed Nomsa's weak spots. She thought that she had already had a stony heart after being used and abandoned by the Jarretts again and again. It was still painful to see the harmonious and warm scene between Lynn and Vicky. Nomsa was still in a bad mood after she found a table with her colleague. The matter between her and Vicky had become a hot topic on the Internet. These colleagues were all young girls, so they must have known that through the Internet. They could tell that Lynn didn't like Nomsa. One of them pushed the menu to Nomsa and said, "Take a look and order what you want to eat." Nomsa smiled and pushed the menu back. "I'm not particular about food. It's up to you. Besides,  I've never been here before.  I don't know what's delicious." Hearing this, the other colleagues began to order. They thought Nomsa was quite easy to get along with, so one of them asked her, "Do you know why Stone asked for leave today? What happened in the president's office earlier?"

"I don't know. Did he do many bad things before?  Maybe he was punished by God," said Nomsa seriously. The others didn't mind and laughed as well. Then, they began to expose Stone's secrets. Nomsa joined from time to time and it was harmonious. But one sentence broke the harmony.

"Nomsa, since you are already an Emerson, why are you still working for Jarrett Group?" The person who asked that did not have any evil intentions, but this question was not easy to answer. Nomsa paused for a moment and said hesitantly, "This..." Someone took the initiative to help Nomsa out of the trouble. "Oh, hurry up and eat. There's not much time left. After eating, we need to rest for a while." The questioner did not continued. Everyone in the company felt Nomsa was unwelcome at the Emersons. Although Leonardo, whose face and sexuality were both harmed, was the first successor of the Emerson Group, he was not suitable to take it over due to his poor physical condition. There were many speculations that the successor might be replaced, but there was no exact news. Without the title of the Emerson Group's successor, Leonardo was just a cripple. Nomsa had to come out to work apart from being unwelcome at the Emersons. She even had to work as a market researcher, which was a tiring job. She looked pitiful. Nomsa looked blankly at her colleagues who kept helping her with the dishes. They seemed to look at her with sympathy. After thinking for a moment, she understood the reason. From a bystander's point of view, she indeed seemed to be quite pitiful...

...

Leonardo stayed in the company for a day. After work, Carl ran over to him excitedly and said, "Let's go drink!" When Leonardo came to the company, Carl was not that busy, so he was in a good mood and wanted to play outside. "No," Leonardo refused without raining his head.

Carl rolled his eyes. "Why do you go back so early?  When you have nothing to do, you just stay at home. Go home after work and don't participate in any activities. You're living like an old man." Leonardo refused softly. "People who have wives are like this." Carl twitched his mouth. "So funny." Warren came in. He didn't know Carl had just been discouraged by Leonardo and asked ,"Can we go now?" "Let's go," Carl said as he walked out. Warren looked at Leonardo and said, "Are you not going?" Carl replied coldly on behalf of Leonardo, "People who have wives don't play outside at night." Just as Carl expected, Warren looked shocked. "Let's go. Just the two of us go for a drink. After all, we have no wives." Carl placed his hand on Warren's shoulder and pulled him out. Warren frowned and pulled Carl's hand down. He turned his head and said sympathetically, "Even if you have a wife, you can do nothing but see her." Leonardo sneered, "You are not allowed to eat at my house anymore." Warren's expression stiffened. He changed his tone and said , "I envy those like you who have wives." Carl couldn't help but kick Warren! Why couldn't he be more hard-bitten? Why did they lose to Leonardo every time? Warren didn't even bend his leg as if he didn't feel any pain. Carl pulled him out and said, "Don't continue to lose your face here." He then turned to Leonardo and said, "We're leaving now." Leonardo was in a good mood and said , "Ok .The drink is on me." A hint of joy could be found in his low voice. However when Leonardo drove home and looked at the empty villa, his good mood immediately disappeared. He took out his phone and called Nomsa, but she didn't answer the phone. He called twice in a row and still, no one answered. Did she do this deliberately, or did something happen to her? Leonardo stood in the empty room for a while. The bodyguards on his side couldn't help but ask him, "Master, what happened?" Master looked serious. Something incredible must have happened. Leonardo did not say anything. He picked up his coat and walked out. When he reached the door, he seemed to recall something. He turned around and said, "If Nomsa comes back, call me." Could the big deal be that Mistress hadn't returned yet?

...

But Nomsa was being forced to go shopping with her colleagues. When she got off work, she wanted to return home. However, the colleagues who had lunch with her probably felt that it was pitiful for her to stay in the empty villa alone, so they insisted on taking her to go shopping. But she felt she wasn't pitiful. Even if she stayed in the empty villa, it was a luxurious villa. It was a thousand times better than the small rental house she used to live in. However, due to the kind invitation from her colleagues, she had no choice but to go shopping with them.

Take Revenge on Her

Nomsa had been thinking about cooking for "Douglas." After all, that was her promise. Since they entered the mall, they had been showing Nomsa around. When it was getting dark, Nomsa found an excuse to stop. "I'm so tired. Let's find a place to rest." Then, they found a place to drink. Nomsa took out her phone and saw two calls on her phone. She felt he was quiet impatient. But she didn't expect that he would call her twice. She could imagine that he became quite angry but held back his anger after he called her a second time. Nomsa stood up and said, "Sorry, I have to go back now. Thank you. I'll treat you to a meal another day." After living the mall, she walked towards the bus stop while calling "Douglas." Not long after, the phone was picked up. "Where are you?" His voice was already low. So when he was in a bad mood, others would feel that there was a bit of sullen in his voice. Nomsa felt a little cold in her neck. She touched her neck and said, "I'm still outside. I'll be right back. If you're hungry, find something to eat." "I'm asking you where you are,"  he repeated. The impatience and anger in his tone were no longer concealed. Nomsa turned around to take a look and told "Douglas" the name of the shopping mall. Since "Douglas" threw away the black card that seemed powerful in front of her, she no longer dared to provoke him. Nomsa turned around and walked to the entrance of the mall, waiting for "Douglas." Not long after, Nomsa saw his car. Just as she was about to go over, someone behind her shouted, "Nomsa, why haven't you left yet?" Nomsa turned around stiffly and saw the colleagues who had shopped with her standing behind her.

"It's because..." Nomsa was interrupted by "Douglas."

"Nomsa, get in the car." Douglas pulled in at her side. He rolled down the window and looked at her expressionlessly. Nomsa's colleagues locked shocked at the same time. Nomsa had a premonition. She turned her head to look at "Douglas" and said with a fake smile, "Although I am younger than you, I am your elder cousin-in-law." Douglas tilted his head slightly and looked at her colleagues behind Nomsa. He looked up and said impatiently, "Get in the car." Nomsa felt that he was getting impatient again. Afraid that he would make trouble again, she could only turn to the people behind her and say, "He is my husband's cousin. He picks me up on his way. I'm leaving now." She didn't stay any longer. She opened the door and got in. When "Douglas" started the engine, Nomsa could see her colleagues talking lively through the rearview mirror...

Nomsa sighed and turned to look at  "Douglas." "Why did you come so quickly? Are you working nearby?"

"Douglas" didn't respond. Nomsa turned her head and looked out of the window. She didn't want to talk to him either.

...

After arriving at home, Nomsa went to the kitchen to cook. In the past few days, she had already known the taste of "Douglas" well . He liked spicy food. After dinner, they went back to their rooms. Nomsa took a bath, lay on the bed, and had a video chat with Jessica. Jessica was dressed in an ancient costume, and behind her was an antique building. Nomsa asked her, "Are you still in Studio City?"  "Yes. I'm shooting a night play,"  Jessica ran to a small corner and whispered to her, " Do you know who I'm cooperating with today?"

"Who is it?" Nomsa suddenly thought of something and said, "It can't be Adams. Didn't he go abroad to study?" "It's him!" Jessica said excitedly, "The director seems to know him, so he asks him to be a guest performer. I just happen to cooperate with him. I'm so nervous that my body is trembling. What should I do?" Nomsa pursed her lips and said faintly, "I don't know. I'm also nervous." Adams was the youngest Grand Slam winner. Nomsa had liked him for eight years. On the other end of the phone came a sudden voice. "Jessica, come here for acting!"  "OK," Jessica replied and said to Nomsa, "I've got to go. I'll  help you to find Adams for an autograph. His nude photo may not be available, but I'll try my best." After saying that, she turned off the video. Nomsa found it funny. She was not as obscene as Jessica!

...

The next day.

When Nomsa arrived at the company, she felt that the way those colleagues looked at her was strange. She had expected such a scene, so she didn't care much about it. Stone was probably scared by Nomsa's means. In the next few days, he was quiet and did not make trouble for Nomsa. It was not until Friday that he brought someone over. "Nomsa, today you go out to do market research with him. Today is Friday. Give me the report next Monday." The person that Stone brought was a tall man who looked simple and honest. Nomsa glanced at the man and found she had never seen him.

There were many people in the market department. Nomsa, of course, couldn't know everyone because she had been here  for just a few days. Therefore, she didn't think too much. They left the company and took a taxi. Nomsa asked, "Does the company reimburse the fare?"  "Yes." The man looked at her strangely.

Nomsa was vigilant. She turned to look out of the window and found they were heading for the suburbs.

When she came out, she had read the information. The product this time was a kind of household necessities. They should go to residential area. Nomsa happened to pass by pharmacy. She looked down and bit her lips fiercely. She knitted her eyebrows in pain and said, "Can you stop the car? I'm going to buy something." The man asked her "What?"  "Painkillers."  Nomsa turned to look at him. "I'm on my period. I have an upset stomach." The man though for a while before he understood. "I'll accompany you." "Alright." Nomsa knew that even if she refused his request, he would figure out other ways to prevent her from getting out of the car. She was certain that Stone asked this man to retaliate.

They got out of the car and entered to the pharmacy. The man followed closely behind her. Nomsa bought some medicine and slowly walked out. At this time, a man wearing a mask and a cap walked in. He coughed lightly with his hand against his lips. As Nomsa passed him, she suddenly reached out and grabbed his arm in astonishment. "Cousin, why are you here?" The man wearing the mask seemed to be shocked for a moment. He reached out and lifted the cap, revealing a pair of familiar and warm eyes.
