Venessa's hands were shaking as she continued to read the letter. It was hard to believe and she refused to believe it. How was she going to accept the fact the people she knew as her parents were not her biological parents?
Karissa was not even alive to answer her question. It was hard to continue but she had to. She found a seat to sit on. If not, she would collapse from shock.
"I know this is hard to accept, but know I love you like my own, same as your father. You made us feel the joy of having a child, and if I get asked if I regret what I did, the answer is no."
"If I regretted my actions, I would never have met you, and if I had to go to the past to do it all over again, I would."
"Your birthday and age are false, same as your name. Your biological mother wanted to call you Genesis and you were not born in May but in April."
