Vivian

Elena pulled back from the hug and look down to the floor. She was nervous if things are going to be the same after he leaves.

"Don't be nervous, I'll be back," Darren said to calm her nerves.

Elena nod her little head and look at him. For some reasons, Darren felt she wasn't happy about him leaving.

He stare at the petite girl with skin as smooth as jade, her black long hair cascading down her back. Her bright eyes, small nose and her lips that was neither thick or thin. She was the most beautiful and alluring girl he had met.

Vivian sat on the foot of her bed with a scowl on her beautiful face. She just received a call from her assistant that Darren was leaving the country for a business trip.

That day at the Hamilton's mansion, she knew Darren had changed towards her. He didn't see her as anything but a friend or maybe not.

When the Lady of the Hamilton family called about her plans for Darren getting married and she was the only girl he liked, Vivian wholeheartedly agreed to her request besides, they've been good childhood friends.

"What are you thinking about Vivi?" A middle aged lady who entered her room asked before shutting the door.

"Nothing Mom, I'm just angry about a call I received from my assistant. That's all," she denied.

Mrs. Clark's is the mother of Vivian.

"Are you sure that's all?" The woman probed and sat close to her daughter.

"Don't tell me you're angry about Darren?" The woman's sharp voice rang out inside the room.

She was displeased that her daughter wouldn't let that man be. "You've been friends for a long time, don't you know that if he loves you he would had proposed earlier?" Mrs. Clark ask her unreasonable daughter.

"He might love me, you know how Darren is. He doesn't show his emotions towards people," Vivian didn't like what her mother said.

"Are you people?" The woman ask in annoyance. "You're his friend and that doesn't makes you his lifetime partner, and stop this your daydreaming," Mrs. Clark said with a stoic face.

" There are many fishes in the sea. Some of different calibre and many with powers and position. Stop fooling around."

Vivian was now angry at her mother. " Mom are you siding with Darren's manner towards me? I can't stop the feeling that's growing inside me!" She shouted.

" Vivian! You're my daughter, I will not standby and see you suffer because of a man who doesn't see you. He might have a woman who's better than you or do you expect him to remain single because he doesn't love his childhood friend?" Mrs. Clark was now furious and she walk out of the room with her heels clicking on the floor.

Vivian felt her heart thudding wildly against her chest, her mother just gave her an impression that Darren might have another woman by his side.

She quickly dash into the bathroom in aim of going to Darren's mansion.

"Young Miss, this is a spacebar and it's used like this," Dora was teaching Elena how to use her iPad.

Dan and Kyle were sitting on the couch lazily after playing a messed up video game which resulted in a small fight.

Kyle's attention was focused on Elena who was smiling at Dora. He kept wondering if this was the girl his boss says he care about.

Elena felt someone looking at her, when she raised her head from the iPad she saw Darren's assistant staring at her.

Kyle smiled awkwardly when Elena caught him staring at her. The girl was so carefree towards people and maybe she was the one Darren was talking about.

Darren wasn't friendly towards people so the girl was special to him. He awkwardly wave at the girl and look back to Dan who was still sulking.

Some minutes later, the doorbell rang inside the mansion.

Butler Jan went to the door and look through the door hole, Vivian standing outside.

He went back to the living room, "we have a visitor, lady Vivian is outside, " he said and stood beside Kyle.

Dan's eyes flare up and he quickly rush to Elena." Elena come let's go to your room, Dora take her to her room. Now! " Dan said and pulled Elena up.

Dora ushered Elena to her room and shut the door. She thought this Vivian might be evil so she locked the door before rushing back to the living room.

Vivian grumpily enter the living room and glared at the old butler.

" What took you so long in answering the door? " She complained and sat on the Couch.

" Miss Vivian what are you doing here? " Dan was the first to ask. Darren had warned them not to entertain any visitor especially this lady here.

" Where's Darren? " Vivian ask pretentiously while scanning the living room with her eyes.

" He left for a business trip this morning and will not return till one week time, " Kyle twisted the actual time.

Dan creased his brows and a lopsided smile appeared on his lips. His brother was not as foolish as he seems to portray.

Vivian nod her head and sat comfortably on the couch. She saw an iPad on the space near her and picked it up.

" Dan held his breath when he saw Vivian was about to unlock it but couldn't.

Kyle walk boldly towards Vivian and took the iPad from her, "this's mine," he said and walk towards the staircase.

Vivian felt something wasn't right with the way this bodyguards were behaving. Actually, Darren would take his bodyguards along with him if he was leaving," she thought inwardly.

" She stood up and head for the staircase along with Kyle, "I thought Darren would take the both of you along with him when he's going on a business trip," she probed.

"Yes. But he's going on a formal business contract in luxemburg, so..." Kyle drawled.

Vivian nodded and asked" Can I stay here till he returns? "

Dan who was walking behind them almost shouted at the persistent lady.

" I don't think so, Ms. Vivian. Darren told us to leave the house when we're done in the evening," butler Jan who was walking down from the corridor said and passed them.

"Okay, I guess I should leave right now."
