Girlfriend?
Sitting in Alex's car again felt as awkward as it had been the previous evening, when he pulled over in front of her to give her a lift because of the rain, despite all that had happened between then and now.
For someone who didn't like receiving favours Vanessa felt she was suddenly receiving too much of it, and it was overwhelming and unsettling. Not just because of her unfamiliarity to it, but because of the person who was at the other side of giving line. Her impression of him hasn't changed and she felt it wasn't going to change anytime soon despite the odd nice thoughts currently forming in her head right now.
"You really don't have to. We can take a cab." Vanessa said as Alex strapped in his seat belt. He paused and raised his gaze to her.
"A cab?" He asked, his brows slightly raised while Vanessa affirmatively nodded even though she was certain he had heard her well.
"Yes." She replied.
