Chapter 25: Trust Issues~

Traceler

Ugh... Why do I even need to talk here? I don't even know what to say. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I need to call Daisy in the middle of their peep talks inside the training room? Well there is a valid reason to it. So many reasons!

One is that woman of the Royal Elites. Sorry if I have to say this but... Even if they say that they are from the empire, I can't fully trust them. How would we know that they're not just some random people who're trying to fool us up?

She keeps on asking questions, mostly important ones, and it makes me worry to think that everyone doesn't even hesitate in answering her.

Second is that man with a gun and wears a black cloth. He looks like a detective. What's with the outfit?

He kept on looking at Daisy like he was studying her figure. What is wrong with him? I'm not jealous okay. I already have someone whom I love... But the way he looks at Daisy makes me think that he has something to do with her. I can't trust him, even though he was with her and the guardian yesterday.

Last, but not the least... Is the part where they intend on staying here for three days. For serious? Three days? Are they examining the school for them to plot thoroughly about what to do for their future attacks?

Sorry everyone. I am a negative thinker sometimes, and don't ask me why. Past experiences. I also can't trust people that easily, that's why it took me how many years before befriending Team Alpha.

Okay stop with the explanation... We already arrived at the garden and it's a good thing no one is here except for us two, we can talk privately and freely without anyone hearing us.

"Tracey? Is there something wrong?" She asked.

"Why do you keep on calling me by that endearment! It makes me feel like a girl for goodness sake!" Although I wanted to say such things, I can't. They've been calling me that since we started to get close to each other, and they have been very nice to me. So, I just think of it as their nickname for me, and they are the only ones who can call me by that name.

"Daisy, a quick question... Do you know that black clothed guy from the royal elites?" I asked and she looked at me while leaning her head right.

"Yes~ but not quite... I just met him yesterday at the cave. He was the one who helped me when Kari attacked me." She answered making me crunch my brows.

"Kari attacked you?" I asked. She didn't even told us this.

"Sorry if I forgot to tell you, but Kari was under a cirse that time and if it wasn't for that Sonata Guy, I wouldn't have been able to help Kari."

"Sonata Guy?"

"That black clothed person you were asking earlier~" She asked, and I am still confused about some things.

"How did he helped you with Kari though?"

"Well... When Kari had gone berserk because of the curse. The Sonata Guy used his gun to help, but I was the one who took the bullet to protect Kari, then the guardian went back to normal after seeing my state, I guess. And Chang'e Moon gave me the power to stop the curse the duskians gave him. And also healed myself." Sje explained, while I just nodded in agreement. "Why ask all of a sudden? And why need to talk to me in private?" She asked, so I sighed before answering.

"Earlier, while everyone is talking to each other. I saw him, looking at you with curiousity. And everytime I see him, I always notices him looking at you, so I thought... Maybe he wants something from you." I explained, and she just looked at me with squinted eyes.

"How can you say? We don't even know each other." She answered in an unbelievable tone. "Maybe you're just imagining thing Tracey~"

"I don't trust them. That's the truth." I could see her shocked expression right after what i've said.

"What do you mean? They all came from the palace, so why?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's because I am not used to visitors here? I just don't feel confortable around them, mostly to that sonata guy." I said, and she smiled.

Wait what? Why would she smile.

"Let's just trust them for now okay? If anything bad happens, I won't ever trust anyone again." She said and raised her hand like she was making a pledge. I sighed in defeat and nodded to her.

"But please~ don't tell anyone about what we just talked right now. I don't want anyone to feel bad about this." She looked at me with a reassuring look before sitting on a bench.

"Let's sit here for a minute or two. I Want to be free for any problem in the meantime." She said and looked up.

And with nothing else to do. I sat beside her. Everything was silent after that. No one dared to talk. We just both looked at the sky and sometimes hear the wind blowing.

The garden ain't hot. It is covered with huge trees that reach up to cover the sun. So the rays are just enough to make a light in each path. The sorroundings have different plants and flowers. The benches were all made of pure silver and had vines creeping at the end to the other. A perfect place to let go of everything that is bothering someone.

"I hope all of this problem ends." She said, and I looked at her with curious eyes. "I meant about all the suffering Dusk has caused in Aurora's Land." She said, still looking up.

"Everything will be back to normal. Just believe." Although I myself is already loosing hope about freedom. I tried to say such words.

"Easy to say... But hard to reach." That made me silent. I knew that she was going to say such thing. "You know what? I miss someone already. A family, a friend and some important people." She said, I , still silent to hear her out. "Sometimes when I am all alone. I can't help but think about them. Are they okay? Are they still waiting for me? Will they remember me?" She continued. "But as time goes by, I am starting to think that... Maybe it is impossible for me to see them again." She said and I saw how she started to tear up.

It made me sad to see her like that. I don't know why, but this feeling is really weird. I don't want to see her like this!

"Well... Ehem! To be honest... I don't know what to say." Was all I could answer... But she giggled. "What?"

"Nothing~ how about you Tracey? Do you miss someone?" She asked, making me surprised. I looked at my hands and felt sad for a moment.

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me though... It's your life anyways." She said and looked at me with a sad smile.

"To be honest... I already miss my family." I said, and although I looked at the sky, I can see in my peripheral vision that she looked at me. "I'll never get to see them again." I continued. "Never again."

"Do you mean they-"

"Yeah. After the massacre of Northern Dawn~ we were led to the palace and trained to hell for some test... Then after how many days, I was sent here, so I don't really know what happened to the last one I was with." I explained and he looked curiously at me.

"So you mean to tell me, that you left a family at the palace?"

"Yeah, but we promised to see each other again. So as long as I live, I know that he will think the same way as me."

After that small talks of ours, we agreed to be back at the training room. But before that, I told him to trust the royal elites for me, and he answered.

"Fine! But don't ever regret in front of me when something bad happens relating to them." And although I could feel his worry, I just smiled to assure him.

We walked and walked, until we arrived at the room. And when we entered, we then scattered after a surprised attack.

To be continued~
