Chapter twelve: Company Anniversary 2

The couples walk in hand in hand posting for picture as the media was present to get scoops. Henry guided Lari into the hall and everything look fine just as they wanted it to be. The hall was big, there's a stage, a chandelier above their heads, there are tables arranged for everyone. Starting from the Board of directors to employees and of course for their guest. When they walked in, there were whispers coming from the employees and from the guest

"are they dating?"

"oh wow I like her dress"

"Why is she standing with Henry? are they in a relationship".

"No I don't think they are dating" one of the employees said "she's his PA so its only right if they are together

"I wish I was in her shoe, so I would be able to stand close to Henry". And as the whispers keep on coming Lari started feeling shy and was about to leave Henry's side when he grab her hand "where do you think your going to?" he asked her "umm I'll just show Abby and Anthony their tables"

"There's no need for that, They already know where to sit. Look there they are sitting down already" Henry said pointing to Anthony who is sitting with Abby by his side. With no thing else she can use an as excuse she just nodded following Henry to their table. Looking around the names on the table Lari couldn't fine Mr and Mrs Thompson so she decided to ask "Where are your parents? I thought you said they will be here today? whispering in his ear so the others on their table who hear what, she is saying. "Oh dad got some business deal out of the country so he took mom with him." He explain Lari just nodded

The MC mounted the stage to begin the party. "Ladies and gentlemen, you are all welcome to H T Enterprise 7th years anniversary. Hope your all comfortable. This event cannot begin without us hearing a word or two from the CEO himself, so ladies and gentlemen give it up for Mr Henry Thompson" (👏 👏)

"Thank you very much. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone of you present to night. this couldn't be possible without you. A special Thank you to my parents for their love and support, to the board of directors, our investors and partners, My best friend over there and his date and of course thank you to my employees who work hard to make sure the company doesn't go down the drain and lastly to my beautiful PA. Thank you all and enjoy the party" The moment he said my beautiful PA whispers which had died down a couple of minutes ago came back.

"did I hear right? did he say his beautiful PA"

"Henry has never complement a lady before at least not in public"

"Am sire they are in a relationship"

"yeah I agree with you 100% sure"

The party began in full swing people laughing and dancing here and there. Henry went to greet his partners and investors and of course with Lari following him behind. "good evening Mr Xio Xia, hope your enjoying the party" Henry and Mr Xio talked for a while before he moved to another "Mrs Johnson, how is it going? hope your enjoying the party? thanks for your support it help me big time" After greeting his investor and partners he move in to some of his guest. Lari went on to join Abby. They sat and talked about the guests, how they are dress. Abby decided to tease Lari "hey beautiful PA" she teased "cut it Abby" laughing at her friend she nodded. After sometime Henry join them. "hey want to dance" Henry suddenly ask Lari "huh no, I can't dance" she rejected "come on just follow my lead "but"

"you'll be fine I promise" nervous but she stood up anyways going to the dancefloor with him. "let's join them" Anthony said. Standing up they join. them on the dance floor. "I though you said you can't dance" Henry asked

"I can just that its been long since I lastly dance"

"you doing great. Your a good dancer"

"Thank you" They dance for sometime before Lari excuse herself to go use the restroom

Standing at a corner looking at the lady wearing a green dress dancing with the host of the event, was Mr Policappio one of Henry's partners from the Philippines. He has been staring at her ever since she walked in the building. Mesmerized by her beauty. The moment she stopped dancing and excused herself to go to the restroom, Mr Policappio

saw that as a tromp card to talk to her.

Lari entered the restroom and release herself, after emptying her bladder, she step out and wash hands. seeing that she's the only one in here she decided to fix her make up looking up the mirror she sees the reflection of man in the mirror looking at her, startled by him she dropped get lipstick, turning around she said "Sir you shouldn't be here. This is the lady's room, the men's room is outside"

"I just wanted to talk to you"

"About what sir? Do you need something? let's step outside then you tell me what you need" picking up her lipstick she walk up yo him was about to step outside when he grab her hand and pull her back in.

"let's talk here beautiful" he said giving her a polite smile which she found disturbing.

"sir what do you want?"

"i have been looking at you since the moment you step in here and I want you"

"Sorry sir but you Can't have me" she said acting all brave but within she is scared of what this man can do to her.

"You've got me wrong, Am not asking you but am telling you that I want you and I must get you. I always get what I want. should we do this the hard way or the easy way?" he asked stepping running his hand on her her cheek. Lari felt disgusted just by his touch. Using all her might, she pushed him to the floor and was about yo run away when he grab her leg and pull her to the floor. He climb on her and have get a tight slap on the cheek. he tore up her gown.

It's been twenty minutes since Lari went to ease herself and Henry is beginning to worry. Plus Abby is pestering him to go check up on her. She's worried that something must have happen to her." if you guys don't want to go check up on her then am going, I can't sit when my friend could be in trouble." Abby said standing up heading to the restroom. Henry and and Anthony stood up and decided to follow her. On their way there, the heard Lari's voice shouting for help. Running to were the voice is coming from, they see Lari crying while struggling to free herself from on a man on top of her. The man looks to be in his early Thirty's. Not noticing the people in the room, Mr policappio continue what he was doing, trying to pull off the cloth he tore. Henry kick him on his back he fell off face down. Abby run up to Lari pulling her in a hug to hide her half naked self. Luckily she wore a strapless bra that covered her breast since her gown had an open back. Anthony took off his jacket and hand over to Abby who wore it on Lari.

Henry pick Mr policappio from the ground looking at his face he finds out that he is his partner from the Philippines. That didn't help to quench the anger burning in him. No one touches what is his. sitting on his stomach, puling him up by the collar of his dress he said "I hope this serve as a lesson to you, don't you ever touch what is mine" He punch him on the face repeatedly until he was satisfied. He go by Lari's said carrying get bridal style and walk out of the building going through the backdoor with Abby and Anthony trailing behind him. They got to his car "take Abby home Anthony, she's staying with me tonight" Nodding Anthony guided Abby to his car and he took off. Henry supported Lari making sure she's sitting well pulling her sit belt on before going to the drivers sit and drive them to his house........
