Ep.6- 하 지마세요 (Don’t do it)

"Yes sir I understand." You replied back to Bang Si-Hyuk who searched for his now vibrating phone, you could hear the vibration earlier when you first came in but he ignored it.

"I'll leave you to talk to each other." He said before pulling out his phone and tapping the screen oh so gently, "Take this time to properly introduce yourselves without joking around." He gave the guys a long and piercing stare just before leaving the room, all they did was smile and looked away as if they didn't know what that stare was for.

Silence invaded the room once he was gone, oh so now they want to be quiet, when he's gone, your thoughts exploded.

You all stood and stared at each other in complete and utter silence, it was a bit awkward, it's your chance to convince them that you're a good fit to be their manager, but the words won't come out, and you're afraid that if you speak you'll probably say something stupid.

"Is there a reason why you needed another manager?" You pried, thinking that it was probably not polite to ask such questions as yet. But they didn't seem to have a problem with it, Taehyung only gazed into the ceiling and poured as if he was thinking about something.

"We take a while to get use to." He spoke with a low voice, it almost shook you, you didn't expect it, his voice wasn't like that before, probably because he was playing around.

"But don't worry, I'm sure this time will be different." Namjoon spoke boldly with such a confident tone.

"You won't leave us right?" You heard Jhope ask you, the other members all laughed as if he said the weirdest thing, it did sound weird the way he asked it. It's probably a hobbit of his.

"Why are you asking her that?" Jin yelled, "she has the choice to leave if she wants." His laughter broke out in a high lichee uniquely windshield like sound, he has a was very unique, but you could help but you laugh.

"You looked at everyone and they all seemed to be in such a good mood, a except one, Jungkook stood by himself at the end without talking to the others or saying anything to you since you arrived, other than introducing himself, but that's it, made you think something was wrong. But the other members didn't seem to try to make him laugh or anything, in fact they didn't seem like they wanted to bother him, but Jimin and Namjoon kept looking over to him. Why did they look so worried and sad?

"Jungkook," you started without thinking, "I look forward to working with you guys, I hope you're not uncomfortable with this." Your voice was soft but hearable, you tried to look mature like a manager should but your soft voice only broke that away.

"I'm not uncomfortable." He finally spoke, but only for a shot time, he didn't even look at you while speaking he only looked at the others, Namjoon even patted him on the head and said it something along the lines of "it's ok." But why was he comforting him?

"Manager, you're apart of our family here at BigHit entertainment now, can we trust you like we should trust each other?" Yoongi spoke, his voice was raspy as if he just woke up.

"Umm. . ."was the only thing you managed to say in the moment, you didn't know the right thing to say since you weren't expecting them to ask you this question.

"I would like to earn your trust, if you guys let me in due time."

"Ahh. . .living with us will give you the perfect opportunity to get to know each other, you'll even get to know Manager SeJin."

"Oh I wasn't aware that Sejin-ssi lives with you." They all paused and looked at you as if you just insulted them. "Of course I don't have a problem with it."

Their faces lightened up and Jimin formed a huge smile causing his eyes to disappear. He really had an attractive smile. They all seemed to like smiling, except you haven't really seen Jungkook smiling that much, or Yoongi, but you think that's just the way he is, besides he looks interested in talking to you.

It was bugging you how Jungkook just stayed by himself and barely talked. So you thought you'd give it another try, see if he'll say at least two sentences.

"I'm sorry if I'm not the type of person you wanted to be your manager." You looked at them all not wanting Jungkook to know that you were really focused on him, "is that the reason why Jungkook won't talk to me?"

There it was again, silence, and it was brutal, why'd you open up your mouth, huh? Your mind bounced and your thoughts punished you.

"Uhh. . .Jungkookie?" Jimin asked while looking form you to Jungkook who was turned sideways so you couldn't see his face. "He probably being shy because you're his classmate."

Could that be the reason? "You don't need to be shy, I just moved to the school, I'm hardly your class mate yet?" You really wants him to say something to you.

It's not like he was being rude, he just didn't look like he was sin the mood to talk, maybe Bang Si-Hyuk picked the wrong day to meet up.

"I really think it's because I'm here," you stepped back a little, "isn't it?" Your eyes were fixated only on Jungkook at the moment. What will it take for him to look at you?

"Trust me It's not because of you." Namjoon spoke, he laughed nervously and patted Jungkook in the back.

"Manager, we made group chat when we heard we got a new manager, put your number in and I'll share it with the others." Why did he look so happy about it, he kept pushing his dimples in your face from left to right.

They all pulled out their phones to add you to their contact, mostly fixated on namjoon's phone since you already have it to him, they all gathered in a circle and started chatting, you could barely hear one word from what they were saying. Once Jungkook got the number he separated form the circle and stood by himself again.

You felt defeated and just stared at him, slightly pouting in annoyance and exhaustion, but when you looked up you saw Jungkook's eyes glued to you, he was finally looking at you. You didn't know what to do or say so you just stared at him, you both ended up just silently looking at each other while the others busy chatted over you phone number.

And finally something happened, you saw a smile tug at the corner of his lips, you quickly made the initiative and give him a small smile as well. It felt weird but also not at the same time. What was happening?
