He took my arm and led me to our room. My anxious and worried mind, running over every possibility until I felt exhausted just from the exercise.
The tension in his back made his anger at my ‘disobedience’ very evident. I was anxious about whatever he was planning and quite confused about why I was allowing him to do it anyway. Maybe, it was the twinge of guilt I was feeling for not obeying. Which was stupid. I was my own person! I didn't have to feel guilty about my decision.

"Except you knew the reason I asked you to stay with Nerrian until someone came to get you. We have to make sure you are safe," Tohr answered, staring at me intensely.
I could see the shadow of worry in his eyes, and that made the guilt grow until it ate away at my stomach.
"Yes, that is the reason for the punishment, my little fire. To relieve you of the feelings of guilt and so maybe, just maybe, you'll think twice about disobeying me next time," he explained with a dark look.
