Prologue: Downfall

Why

Why did this have to happen to me, I was always kind I had done nothing to deserve this, why did they do it?

That was the was the question Esmerelda asked her self as she laid in her hospital bed.

Deep down Esmerelda knew why, it was because of money. Everything was always about money...

She was so sick of it.

Esmerelda was never really acknowledged by her family they always paid attention to her brother instead of her, she always assumed it was unintentional turns out it wasn't.

Esmerelda had always been a smart child but she was naive. The moment she came up with a business idea she told her parents and brother about it and gave them half of the company (divided by the three of them)

She met her husband in business school when she was 20 they started dating,got married, and then eventually had children. She had named the children Mary and Christine they were twin girls.

Esmerelda was happy with her life she lived in a mansion with two beautiful children and a lovely husband.

That was what she thought until her family all stabbed her,tortured her, and took out her vocal cords until she put her half of the percentage of the company on her will.

They had framed a random person and made or look like a murder, more of attempted murder though since she was about to die due to blood loss.

Esmerelda started laugh inside her head until her laugh slowly turned into a cackle.

'What a joke my life has been.'

She started to wheeze she could no longer breathe her heart had stopped pumping her lungs had stopped working.

She was about to die.

'I want revenge, I want them to pay, I need them to understand my pain.' She said as she died.

She was dead right?

If she was dead then why did she feel alive and better than ever.
