Clash (END)...

After the awakening of Mana, Mikoto Kiba had received a Skill called Feline Beast Transformation after she killed the first Zombie. The name of the Skill was kind of self-explanatory, it allowed her to transform into a big cat… If that was all she would have been massively disappointed. After all, she would have been nothing more than a furry kitty, who is only good for cosplay shows.

Even though cat girls were a hype in Japan, she did not think that anyone was going to appreciate her form, after all, her whole body was covered by silver fur. Thankfully, the transformation came with its own perks… Even though her fur was silver, she couldn't understand how she could hide better in the shadows. Secondly, all of her Physical stats were boosted by 5 Points. 5 Points weren't a lot, but it was still better than nothing…

Not only that, but she also gained the nimbleness and swiftness of a cat… She became a hunter, but she could only take advantage of all those perks inside a closed space. She was just like any other normal human if she was outside. If she wanted to use the nimbleness and swiftness of her furry form, then she needed to be inside a closed space. The whole thing was kind of absurd from her point of view…

So, as soon as the fight between Sayo Hitsugi and Yozora Kemono started for the earnest, she decided to retreat and hide inside a building. She felt really bad for leaving, but there was not much she could have done. If she stayed there then she would have been just a hindrance for Sayo. Additionally, her Skill wasn't for such an open area. Sayo could only handle Kemono because of her Damage Reflection Skill.

After entering the building, she quickly destroyed the main fuse to get rid of the power in the building. She would be able to hide and move better in the darkness. After destroying the main fuse, she quickly made her way toward the window. She wanted to see how the fight was progressing. Kiba trusted Sayo, especially with her Damage Reflection Skill. So, when Kiba finally saw how easily Kemono was brutalizing Sayo, she was shocked to her very core.

Kiba immediately wanted to rush out of the building so that she could help Sayo, but somehow she was able to stop herself. Kiba bit her lip in anger and took off her helmet… She clutched the window frame with her hands in anger. Even if she went out there, there wasn't anything she would be able to do to help Sayo. She would be simply throwing away her advantage… So, while gritting her teeth in anger, Kiba stood up and walked away from the window…

She could not watch how Sayo was being brutalized by that monster… Kiba vowed that she would take revenge for Sayo even if the last thing she did…

<Line Break> (A couple of minutes later)

"Meow!" The furry figure landed on her feet and licked her paw. "Nothing snarky to say?" The cat girl asked in a mocking tone and Kemono bared her canines with a snarl on her face. Kiba's eyes grew wide in surprise when Kemono lunged at her at blinding speed. Kiba couldn't believe how fast Kemono was and she was able to barely move out of Kemono's way to dodge the attack.

Moments later, Kiba winced in pain… She looked down to find found claw marks on her right side. It seemed she wasn't able to completely dodge the attack. All of her stats were boosted by 5 Points and with that, she had 47 Points in total in her Agility. So, it was pretty clear that Kemono was faster than her… Kiba immediately used the Status Points to increase her Agility. Kiba finally stopped when her Agility reached 61 Points. She had more Status Points but she had reached the sum of 200.

Kiba would have paid more attention to the notifications popping in front of her eyes, but she had much more important things at hand. Once again Kemono lunged at her, but this time Kiba easily dodged the attack and launched her own counter-attack. Kemono's eyes grew wide in surprise at the sudden increase in Kiba's speed, but she quickly realized what Kiba had done.

Kemono raised her hands to defend herself and four scratch marks appeared on her arm. Kiba clicked her tongue in frustration… The scratches on Kemono's arms were just that, scratches. All four wounds were extremely shallow and Kiba realized that her Strength Stat wasn't enough to penetrate Kemono's defense. Kiba grimaced as she realized her mistake. She had added all the Points she could to her Agility parameter and now that she had reached the 200 mark, she could no longer increase any of her stats…

Kemono snickered in amusement as she glanced at her wound… "So, you added all the Points you could into your Agility parameter, but your strength is so low that you can't penetrate my defense" Kemono started to cackle in amusement and Kiba growled at the woman, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn't form any rebuttals…

"Oh… Let me guess, you reached the 200 mark and now you cannot increase your Strength, right?" Kemono asked in an amused tone and Kiba simply lunged at Kemono with a hiss, instead of answering. Since Kiba was much faster than Kemono, the older woman couldn't move out of the way, not that Kemono was planning to dodge.

Kemono knew that Kiba was much faster than her, so there was no way that she would be able to dodge the incoming attack, so she decided to let her get injured and catch the girl. The cat girl's Strength was kind of low when compared to her, so there was no way that the younger girl would be able to get free from her grip. Kiba missed the whole plot and swiped her claws at Kemono, who didn't even bother to protect herself, that is when Kiba realized that something was wrong, but it was too late to back out.

Four claw marks appeared over Kemono's left shoulder while four other marks appeared over her right shoulder, but before Kiba could continue the attack, Kemono's hands gripped around Kiba's wrists and Kemono started to grin savagely. "Now there is nowhere to run, little kitty… Let me welcome you to my Flaming Purgatory!!" Kemono growled and everything drowned in flames…
