The most memorable

Sophia and Matt headed back home after hours of driving. Kate met them outside and waved at them.

Matt helped Sophia out like a gentleman. Kate looks at them smiling like an idiot.

"Hey, Matt! How was my bestfriend? You like her, right? Don't deny it. Was last night fun?" Kate bombarded him with questions like she did to me.

As they joked around, they went in and met Peter and Tiffany.

Peter and Tiffany came few hours ago and wanted to discuss something to us.

"Tiffany and I would like to arrange a trip just for us since we are going to be married oversea. I wanted this trip to be memorable for all of us. What do you all think?" Peter asked.

"I'll check with my parents since they are coming back this week." Sophia told them.

"The trip will be in two weeks then, how about it." Peter said.

"Matt, are you coming along too?" Sophia asked.

"I'll check with my mom to make sure her health is good before I go. I'm worried about her health since she lives alone." Matt told us.

"We will need to decide at the end of this week. Text or call me if you guys can go. It will be the most memorable trip. We will be going Zakynthos in Greece. They have the best beaches in the world." Peter gave each of us a pamphlet to see which destination in Greece we would like the visit.

"Wow, it looks awesome." Kate said. "I'll bring my boyfriend for sure. My brother has work so he cannot come."

"I will definitely let you know, Peter." Sophia said.

"Give me a call so I can reserve the place." Peter told them as he gets up from the sofa.

"Tiffany and I have other stuff to take care of. We will be leaving now." As they left, we waved goodbye.

"This trip will be awesome. Who else will come?" Sophia asked.

"I heard Allie and his boyfriend are coming. Matt, you can ask your sister to come along. Peter's brother is also going." Kate said.

"I'll let her know when I get back home." Matt told us.

"Great! Oh yeah, Sophia...your mom called me but I told her you were out so make sure to call her back." Sophia thanked Kate.

"Matt, can I talk to you in private?" Sophia asked.

Kate smiled and stepped back, "I'll be in the kitchen if you guys need me."

Matt nodded and Sophia held his hand. As they head upstairs, Sophia closed her bedroom door.

"Matt, you were looking down. Is anything bothering you?" She held his hand tightly.

"Sophia, I... I'm sorry I worried you. It's just these past few days, I was worried about my mom's health even though she says she is fine... and these past few nights... I've been having nightmares. I don't know why but it's been keeping me awake. I...I... don't know what's happening to me. I feel like I'm not myself." Matt was looking as if he was going to cry.

"Matt, I am happy you told me. At least I can share your burdens. Next time, don't keep it in. Promise?" Sophia hugged Matt. "Matt, you can cry when you're with me. Everything will be alright. I'll stay with you. Should we go visit your mother tomorrow?" Matt smiled slowly and nodded. He hugged her and whispered, "Thank you for staying with me." Sophia wiped his tears and kissed his lips.

As morning came, Sophia and Matt woke up in bed. Both of them were speechless because they slept with each other again. Matt cleared his throat and Sophia pretended that never happened. Kate rushed to Sophia's room then due to shock, she carefully closed the door. Giggled as she went downstairs.

"Matt, what are you doing? I thought you left." Matt laughed, "You looked so cute when you were asleep. I couldn't help it. Oops."

"Matt, you pervert." Sophia threw her pillow in Matt's face. "Ow! What was that for?" Matt pretended to be hurt.

Sophia laughed.

"When do you want to go and visit your mother?" Sophia asked.

"After breakfast, let's go." Matt said.

As they got ready, they head downstairs to meet with Kate.

"Hey Kate, sorry about this morning. Heh... We sort of slept together... nothing happened." Sophia looked at Matt and he told Kate, "Yeah, totally nothing happened." Kate looked at us in disbelief.

"Sure. It looks like you guys made out." She chuckled. "Okay, I'll pretend I saw nothing." As Sophia helped Kate getting ready for breakfast, Sophia's mom called.

"Hey Mom."

"We are coming back this week. We cannot wait to meet your boyfriend. Tell Kate we said hi." Sophia's mother, Rachel said.

"Mom! Did Kate say that I got a boyfriend?" Kate shook her head.

"Mom knows. Don't worry... Kate told us about Matt. He is a great guy. Mom and dad will support you." Sophia was in shock.

"Alright mom, stay safe. See you in two days." Sophia hung up and gave Kate the I'm watching you stare.

"Oops." Kate said.

"Matt, my parents cannot wait to meet you." Sophia said. "Thanks to Kate." We both laughed.

"That's great. I cannot wait to meet them." As we chat for another hour or so, we got ready to meet Matt's mom.

"Kate, I'm going with Matt to his house to meet her mom. Are you going out today?" Sophia asked.

"Ed and I are going on a date today. So, don't worry." Kate said happily. "Enjoy your time together." As we said our goodbyes, we head to Matt's house.
