CHAPTER: shameless

 "Aren't you shameless enough, i have not even settled the debt for planning my car accident but here you are trying to cook up another plot again"she said as she looked at them in mockery ,she had never seen such shameless people in her entire 24 years of existence ,did they think she was a fool not to know about them toying with her car breaks.

 Her father's face paled , and he glanced at her step sister who maintained her calm facade. "i don't know what you're talking about," he said though his voice wavered.

 "of course you don't," she replied her voice cold. "three years is a long time ,but i remember everything".

 her stepsister stepped forward,her smile tight ."we're just glad you're back. we have something important to discuss with you."

 "important? " she scoffed. "like how you tried to kill me?"

 Her stepsister's eyes narrowed. "there's no need for dramatics.add author's thought we're here to help you."

 she laughed , the sound harsh and bitter. "help me?you want to help me by marrying me off to some heir? what's your agenda this time?

 Her father cleared his throat, his composure faltering. "its for your own good . this marriage will secure your future."

 "My future? or yours? she snapped. "what do you gain from this? why now?" crystal's mask of calm and innocence slipped, revealing a flash of anger. "you've always been so naive, This marriage is about power and survival. do you think yoiu can just waltz back into the world and pick up where you left off? you're vulnerable."

 "trust me when i say you don't know what ive been through - vulnerable is the last thing i am." she said as a sharp glint flashed in her eyes Her father stepped closer, his look of sadness failed to hide the scheaming in his eyes in his eyes. "please just listen. the heir is powerful. He can protect you"

 "protect me from what father , can he protect me from the snakes that are in my own family" she said her words laced with a tone of sarcasm ,she liked watching him squirm in nervousness and aprehension till he finally pops and shows his true colours

 "zephyra! you have to drop this ridiculous idea you have that we your family are the ones that planned your accident ,we are the last people on earth that will ever think of harming you,i mean im your father why will i ever want to hurt you my own blood".

 He said looking hurt as if he was dissapointed in her but they didn't know that she was no longer the same naive girl from three years ago that would get tricked by them .

 "I know better who harmed me and as for your marriage alliance i'm glad to inform you that i am not interested in your offer and will not be accepting it, and i'm sure it won't affect you much as you also have another daughter you can give in my place after all she's my 'older sister' its only right she takes my place" she said with a playful smirk on her face as she glanced at the clenched fist and enraged face of her stepsister.

 she looked like she was about to blow up but she suddenly stopped ,calmed down and put on a smile as she said "sister how can you talk like that father is only doing this because he cares about you,do you know how hard it is to marry into such an influencial family?".

 Her eyes narrowed as she looked at her stepsister she felt like she was not as simple as she thought "i don't care and i don't want to know ,i'm tired and i want you to leave ,now!" she said as she still needed time adjusting with the thin spiritual energy in the air of this planet.

 she watched as her father and step sister exchanged glances ,their alliance clearthough what they did not know was that no matter what schemes they were planning it would be useless in the face of her power ,she was no longer the naive girl they had tried to dispose of she was stronger now and she would uncover their plans ,expose their lies and reclaim her life on her own terms
