Madison sighed deeply when she hung up the phone after leaving a message for her sister asking her to come over tomorrow night so that they could plan a strategy for dealing with their respective families before Thanksgiving arrived. Although her sister wasn't thrilled with Madison's suggestion to spend three days straight working double shifts at the hospital because it would interfere with her schedule as a nurse, Madison reassured her that she'd find a way to make up the overtime during a slow period at work. Still, Madison was surprised by the amount of work her sister had lined up for her to complete on Thanksgiving morning since it was only a few days away, but she was determined to do whatever she had to do to ensure that her niece wouldn't suffer any lasting injuries.
