The venue was lively with music, and waiters circulated, serving wine to the guests. Barbie and Cassie arrived at Mark's father's house, exuding an air of affluence. As a waitress passed by with a tray of wine glasses, Cassie swiftly grabbed two glasses, playfully handing one to Barbie, eliciting a disapproving hiss from the waitress.
"You nearly knocked the tray out of her hand," Barbie chuckled.
"Not my fault she didn't hold it properly," Cassie retorted, giggling.
"I wonder where Mark and Dylan are. I feel a bit uncomfortable not knowing anyone here," Barbie said, scanning the crowd.
"Well, that's your cue. I might find my prince charming tonight, so I'll be leaving you soon," Cassie teased Barbie.
"Don't leave me alone," Barbie protested as Cassie walked towards a group of guys.
"Later, Barbie," Cassie called out, waving her hand before joining the guys. Barbie sighed and watched Cassie laughing and chatting with them.
