Chapter 3 New Life

Betty knew they would be sacked oneday, she just didn't know it was going to be this soon especially when Grandpa Billy wasn't around to intervene. Now a 21 year old girl like her had to take care of her 8 year old brother who has a health problem. 

"Sister, are we going to be homeless?" Henry asked with his innocent face. His innocence pained Betty's heart . 'Why should a cute and innocent boy go through a lot of troubles ? I promise I'm going to do whatever I have to do to get you a heart transplant' she said to herself.

"Henry dear, you remember I told you that you'll have your freedom right? Well just take this as we're going to leave a peaceful life without any interference okay, and I promise you're going to be healthy. I'll work hard and get enough money for your treatment  okay" Henry smiled at his sister. Even though he's 8 years old, he has the brain of a 13 year old . He knew his sister was going to do everything possible for them to be happy. He just felt sad that he didn't get the complete family he always wished for.

"Okay sister, I'm not sad , don't be sad too " he cleaned the tears Betty didn't know were even flowing from her eyes and hugged her. 

"Hahahaha,that's what I call a good boy haha it's almost late dear,let's go get a place to stay ." 

Betty checked her things and noticed that they package everything that belongs to her . Well she and her brother didn't have a lot of things anyway. Just books, few clothes and toys for henry and a big box inwhich she has saves some important things in. She flagged a taxi and headed towards the north with her brother where she could get affordable houses to rent for some months . Luckily she had some money she saved and some money given to them by their mother before dying.

*Meanwhile, at Jack's House.(Evening)*

"Stupid child huuaaahhh you finally remembered you have a grandmother." Old madam Smith starts to cry after seeing her grandchild back from work

"Come on grandma, you're not getting younger, why are you crying and stressing yourself" Jack Smith said . "Fool,so you know I'm not getting any younger and you don't even plan on giving me greatgrand children before I die huaahh " 'dramatic as much' jack mummered to himself. 

"Come dear, let's have dinner. Have you been taking good care of yourself at all... Oh this boy , if you had a wife I wouldn't have to be worrying too much about you.  Please forget about her and move on dear..."

As grandma said the last sentence, she seemed to have remembered something and kept quiet staring at Jack.

"Grand ma, I don't want to remember... Please... I'll find a woman when the time is right. " He stood up to go to his room.

".. but your food"

"Goodnight granny, love you, I'm fine don't worry" he left to his room leaving the sad grandma regretting her words.
