Chapter 33: Helina's Mistake

When Helina returned to her apartment, Harlan was already gone to the gym. He’d found someone who could train him to defeat Kurt. Helina had spent little time in the last day in her apartment, but she couldn’t see herself sitting there all day.

She usually worked so her downtime wasn’t spent on a hobby. She paced her living room not sure what to do with herself.

She’d received her first paycheck and she could use some more casual clothing. Both Chase and Harlan would be angry if she left the apartment on her own, but she had things to buy. She was a wolf shifter. She should be able to take care of herself.

That decided, she changed into some casual clothing and headed out to do some shopping. She debated letting Chase know what she was doing, but she chose not to because he probably needed some space from her.

In the block in the opposite direction from the park was a row of stores that would have everything she needed.
