CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO

AUTHOR'S POV

"Honey! Are you done dressing?" Edward called out, almost outside her apartment's door. He was ready to resume work after a long weekend of bickering and nagging

She replied a mean "yes" eventually showing her dressed self, as she walked out, for him to compliment.

"You look breathtaking," He remarked genuinely, taking in her milky Saint Laurent tweed gown satisfactorily and her black wedge. She could pass for a model with her almost-slender-but-not-too-slender body.

She scoffed "Breathtaking my foot. I'm sure l look like a pregnant baboon in this body hug dress you got for me" The bitterness in her tongue got in the way of a sweet compliment. The bitterness was the aftermath of his failed mission. He had failed to serve her the fried plantain she wanted and therefore had to deal with an entire day of negative silence which had nearly sent him running mad in the streets.
