BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST

Mary is in the lounge talking to Madeline, she has been skipping work since Avia travelled.

"Do you even know the gravity of what you are doing?"Mary asked looking at the over relaxed Madeline

"Save me this lecture. Avia is not even around, how will she know I've been skipping the office? Or do you want to report me to her?"Madeline replied nonchalantly

"She is not around but she has people watching over her company for any insolence"Mary said trying to be calm

"Oh really? Are you not the CEO? Why are you not the one watching over the company?"Madeline asked sarcastically

"I have more than enough job to do than to keep my eyes on you"Mary replied harshly

"Oh my world, is someone angry? Moreover I am more of a family to her than you, you are just her nanny turned CEO, know your place and stop lecturing me"Madeline said angrily and leaves for her room

Mary watch as she leave for her room, she shrug her shoulders and relax on the couch.

MADELINE'S POV

Who does that bitch think she is? She wants to lecture me, who the hell is she? It is really not her fault though it is that bitch I called a mother fault, if only she did not choose that bastard son over me then I will be living in money. And that son of a bitch is to be blamed for all this rubbish happening to me, if he did not cheat on that old lady that pays our bills, I won't be here struggling to get what is not ours in the first place. And if that little Avia wasn't born then maybe I will have a better life. I hate everyone of them and I will make Avia pay for her father and grandmother sins, as for my father he will regret ever having other affairs and that old step mother of mine will regret ever throwing us out of that old looking mansion. I will make each and everyone of them pay for their sins.

Avia woke up the next morning feeling unenergetic, she just lie on the bed looking at the ceiling as if she's waiting for a miracle to happen, her phone beeped, she look at the phone and realize Emmett has been texting her since. She was not in a good mood to reply anyone's message not even Emmett, in between her gamble of whether she should reply Emmett or not, Mary's call came in, she picked the call angrily.

"Hey Avia"Mary greeted

"Any problem?"She asked trying to be calm

"No Avia just that..."Mary was unable to finish her words when Avia ended the call

MARY'S POV

What is wrong with this girl? Her change of attitude is affecting everyone that loves her including herself. She went to Japan to cool off, I thought she was feeling better after everything Mr Hinode told me yesterday and now this ill attitude. I pray she finds happiness really soon but there's happiness around her so what is her issue?

Avia decided to dress up for the day, she can't be sulking all day for what she has not even hear, in between her thoughts someone knocked on her door. "Come in" She said and a maid enter, she bowed before talking "Ma'am, sir Emmett is here to see you, should I let him in?"The maid said looking at her feets

"Yes let him in. I will be there in few minutes"She replied coldly and the maid leaves immediately.

She chose a green crop top and short skirt, she did not style her hair after drying, she was looking neutral as she as no make-up on, she wore her green slide and go downstairs to meet her visitor. Emmett saw her coming and immediately he was sure that she is not okay yet.

"Good morning"He kissed her forehead

"Morning"She greeted him back

"How was your night? Hope you slept well?"He asked reading her expression

"It was normal. Why are you here this early?"She said coldly

"Oh so you haven't read my message, I told you I was coming to pick you up for breakfast"He replied holding her hands in his

"Sorry but I'm really not in the mood for this. I just want to rest all day"She said calmly

"Avia, you can't reject me. I came here for you and you can't send me off like this"He replied feeling a little bit sad

"Okay, so where are we going for breakfast?"She asked trying not to reject him

"My house"He replied

"Can't we have breakfast here?"

"No babe, I want it to be only us and no maids or chef" Avia's heart skip a beat after he called her babe

"Can you wait for me to get ready?"

"No, I love the way you are right now"

"Let's go"

They leave for Emmett's house and in few minutes they are there already. Emmett open the door of his small mansion for her, the room was dark and no visible light or sun ray.

"Why is the room this dark"She asked with confusion

"Let me look for the switch"Emmett said looking for the switch. He press the switch button and the room light up, everywhere was beautiful decorated with ribbon and balloon of different color and size, the led light was showing different color of light which makes the room cool and comfortable.

"Do you like it?"He asked reading her expression

"You are full of surprises"She replied with a smile still looking at the room

"Let's go to the dining room"He said holding her hand for them to walk forward

They reach the dining room, it was dark like the sitting room, he switch on the light and everywhere became bright. The room has a pink light, pink balloons and pink ribbon, on the white wall, a pink letter balloon was used to write Happy Birthday Chameleon. Avia turn around to look at Emmett after surveying the room, she hugged him tight.

No wonder she was sulking all morning, so it was her birthday, Avia never likes to celebrate her birthday but it seems different today, she was really happy for the arrangements that she couldn't control her emotions.

AVIA'S POV

I know it is my birthday today but I am really not ready to start celebrating birthdays, I know Ms Hart called earlier to wish me but I really don't want to hear it but what is happening to me now. I am hugging this guy with tears when I am suppose to shout at him for interfering in my life. I guess it's love because why am I even happy he made this arrangement, I think I really like him and wants to be with him.

"Happy Birthday Chameleon"He wished her

"Thank you"She replied wiping off her tears

"Do you like it?"he asked and she nodded affirmatively. Avia turn around to check the room again and she noticed the dining table, the pink table cloth was neatly placed and the food were placed neatly on it, it was covered so she doesn't know what is there. Emmett read her mind and open the dishes for her one after the other looking at her reactions.

"Alpha, these are my favorites dishes"She said happily

"I'm glad you like it"He replied with a smile.

The dishes were American, Korean and Spanish dishes and these was Avia's favorite out of all the country's breakfast dishes.

"Let me introduce this delicious dishes to our birthday girl. This is Gyeran-bbang(Korean egg bread), this is Pajeon(Savory pancakes) and this is the Korean popular dish Bibimpap."He said pointing to the Korean dishes

"I really love Bibimpap"She said looking at the dish with happiness

"I'm glad you love it. Now let's move to our Spanish dish, this is tortilla espanola (Spanish omelette), this is Bocadillos(Sandwich) and this is croissant de alemandra(Almond croissant)"He said pointing to the Spanish dish

"I really love croissant"Avia replied looking hungry already

"I know right. Now let's move to our American dish before we settle down to eat seems our birthday girl is hungry. This is bacon, toasted English muffin and cottage cheese"He said pointing at the dishes before sitting down next to Avia.

They started eating and Avia was eating literally everything on the table without a care in the world, after few minutes they were done eating. "Thank you for the meal"She said with a smile

"Anything for you"He replied looking at her beautiful smile.

Awkward silence popped up and the two of them were looking at each other silently. Emmett holds her hand in his, he use one of his hand to move the hair on her face to the back of her ear and hold her back.

"Avia, this past day I've been happy and that's because of you. I want to be this happy everyday and that can only happen if you become my girl. I want you to be my girlfriend"He proposed

"I'm not the best when it comes to saying sweet stuffs but I sure want to make your life sweet. Please be my girlfriend"He said looking into her eyes

"Emmett, I really want to say yes but right now I'm not fine and I need time to move on from the first person that broke my heart"She replied avoiding his eyes

"I am really happy you said the truth but can you gist me about your past relationship so I won't make the same mistake"He said understanding her plight

"Actually, he proposed saying all sort of sweet nothings, I was really happy and I liked him right on spot but I was not sure of my feelings for him so I did not reply his proposal and at that moment he has two girlfriends, he was popular for playing girls so I was not really sure if his feelings were true but I know I like him. I went off for a while and when I was back he proposed to my best friend right in front of me."Avia explained sadly

"Wow that's a lot to process indeed. I guess the guy name is Carl and Rita is the best friend"Emmett said and she nodded affirmatively.

"You will be fine and I will be here waiting for you"He added before kissing her forehead.

"Thank you for understanding"She said with a smile.

The duo continue their discussion and their relationship remained undefined.
