“Whatever. Look, I don’t have time for this nonsense. Get out of the car, right now.” I tried to shake him off, but Rodney wouldn’t budge, gripping my wrist even tighter than before.

Even at his worst, I was never been able to deny Rodney anything, which got us into a lot of trouble over the years before I met Thad. I would look into those pretty brown eyes and just give in.
