“Besieged”

The whole leech body had strange marks of mud, as if its body was made of mud and soils in the swamp. 

Not to mention that with the size of its body, its mouth also became big. 

The jagged teeth like huge needles and the black tongue inside the jagged teeth made this beast an absolute nightmare. 

These two beasts were more suitable to be called monsters than beasts! 

John was caught off guard, and Charlie even took a few step backs with a pale face, almost fainting on the spot! 

It was already good enough that he didn't scream on top of his lungs. 

But no matter how shocked John was, his reflex as a hunter was there, and he quickly activated his personal skill— 

[Air Barrier]! 

John started his skill's special effects with a white halo all over his body. 

After a set of cool movements, an invisible air barrier quickly enveloped him and Charlie, including a certain little slime in Charlie's pocket! 

The two beasts landed right on the air barrier with a loud PLOP and instantly slipped down the barrier. 

The beasts fell to the ground with a thud, but both of their bodies were flexible, with no muscles or bones. 

The two beasts weren't injured at all and just wriggled on the ground for a few seconds before it started to run around the small lobby. 

With so many hunters around, all holding various beasts in hand, these two beasts instantly stirred chaos. 

"Ah, ah! So disgusting! Go away! Go away!" 

"Fck! That leech wants to suck blood! It must have been hungry for so long!"

"Run! Don't let the leech touch you!" 

"Ah! Be careful of the snail trail! It's slippery and corrosive!" 

These two wild beasts first disturbed the relatively calm slimes who were just laying in the hunan's arms. 

When slimes were fully fed, they weren't aggressive towards any living beings and were quite docile, so much so that the hunters didn't bother to use a container to keep them. 

But it was exactly because of this that when the two wild beasts ran around the small lobby, the slimes all felt the threat collectively. 

These slimes with strong survival instincts immediately wriggled out of the human arms. 

All of them started to jump down to the floor, and bounced around, trying to get away from these two wild beasts!

Some slimes who were only half-full were driven by their instinct and started to attack the people closest to them. 

The entire scene instantly became chaotic, and in the chaos, the pets trapped inside the pet carriers also made a fuss.

The beasts banged their bodies into the container's wall, and when the human was busy dodging here and there...

They took this chance to forcibly break free from the carrier's door! 

Some hunters were so frightened that they simply threw away their pet carriers, immediately letting the beasts inside break free. 

The wild beasts ran, crawled and bounced around the lobby, attacking anyone they could see. 

The less ambitious hunters quickly escaped from the chaos with their own pets, while those stubborn ones actually stirred up the muddy water even more vigorously! 

They purposely snatched other people's pet carriers and smashed it open, releasing the beasts inside. 

Those who carried pets with them immediately released their pets in the direction of John and Charlie. 

At first, only one snail and one leech ran out, followed by two to five slimes. 

Then, within just a few minutes, another five slimes ran around, and a total of three snails broke free! 

Four more leeches crawled on the floor and jumped high to bite everyone's legs. 

The hunters who wore thick boots were safe and sound, but those who didn't immediately became victims. 

The leech tore open a wound, followed by heart-wrenching screams. 

"Ahhhh— my leg! My leg! Help!!"

"Fck! Fck! Fck!"

The smell of blood in the air and the screams of the human beings further stimulated these wild beasts. 

They began to go crazy, using their innate skills one after another.

The wall and the floor first burnt these random attacks, but an even more frustrating thing happened. 

A rare mucus fungi plant-beast was actually left behind in the chaos, and it also felt threatened. 

It couldn't move as freely as the other beasts, so it could only open its mushroom cap, but instead of spreading small spores…it actually sprayed sticky mucus! 

The mushroom was like a water sprinkle, splashing sticky mucus everywhere.

When those mucus landed on the hunters' feet, these hunters were trapped and couldn't move. 

If it landed on the body…

"What— which idiot let go of the fungi?? Are they trying to disgust us with those sticky mucus??" 

The chaos further escalated! 

John's air barrier couldn't last for a long time, and by the time the second wave of chaos happened, his air barrier was already gone. 

As soon as the chaos happened, John and Charlie had wisely tried to leave the lobby and returned to the corridor where they came from. 

But a few cunning hunters noticed their movements and immediately blocked the only way back! 

When John saw these few hunters' outrageous behavior, his blood pressure almost soared to his head. 

"Are you guys crazy?? You're making a fuss at the Awakened Hunter Bureau's building!" 

There are surveillance cameras everywhere. 

Aren't they afraid of being caught or banned? 

These people damaged the wall, the floor, the window...

They might even release the wild beasts out of the building, affecting other people! 

But these greedy hunters just laughed at John's "naivety". 

"Hey, uncle, it seems that this is your first time coming to this floor, right?"
