The Battle Of The Demon Siblings

In the ever-unfolding tapestry of life, circumstances occasionally dictate that conflicts arise, even among those bound by the bonds of kinship. In this crucible of adversity, the question looms large: will any among them choose to unite and confront their collective challenges, or will they opt to face their trials individually? Each of these siblings finds themselves confronted with their own arduous battle, each imbued with a distinct purpose. For some, the impetus lies in their eternal quest for change, an undying ambition that propels them forward. Others are driven by an insatiable hunger for power, seeking dominance over their chosen realm. And yet, there are those whose battles are fought for the sake of love; their motivations rooted in the profound connections that define our human existence. As these siblings navigate their respective journeys, their paths intertwine and diverge in equal measure. Some seek to discover their true nature, to uncover the depths of their being. Others strive to prove their mettle, to demonstrate their worthiness in the face of adversity. From these differing perspectives, the potential for unity or division emerges; a choice that can bind them closer than ever or sow the seeds of animosity. Will their battles drive them to turn completely against one another? Time alone will reveal the path they choose on this journey of self-discovery and affirmation.

*Reflecting Payne: Pt. 2

"You dare think that I would ever be so weak or desperate to want or need anything from someone? That I'd seek brownie points and entertain anyone in hopes that it'd help me to get what I wanted?" Vishious growled at her. " And you dare think that Sinyster could ever be that special or important to me? Please believe me when I say if I had wanted to get information out of you, trust me, you wouldn't be in any kind of shape to deny me what I'd want! " Vishious felt like he was going to snap. "I have made your stay here much better than it was in the beginning and if I was going to harm you or had any intentions of killing you, I would've."

'Why does she look at me with such fear in her eyes? Why is she trying to back away from me, like she doesn't want to be close to me? Like she really believes I think of her as something that's disposable and who I plan on killing?!' Vishious never thought that it'd be possible for him to get affected by someone's words like this.

He wasn't one to have ever cared what anyone thought but he was also someone who no one ever dared to say anything to, unless he said they could. Everyone knew better than to say a word or even look at him unless he gave them permission to do so, he wouldn't ever hesitate to kill those stupid enough to try it and right now this woman before him was doing everything he would never allow anyone to get away with.

And if he could stop and be more rational at this point he would've been able to guess that the reason why he was getting so upset right now was because it infuriated him to hear how it really was from her. Yes, he had kidnapped her and left her in that room but didn't she see how he had been making things better for her, how he spoiled her and didn't she see how much he enjoyed having her here. To think that this beauty was letting him know that she would never allow him to get close to her and she thought of him as a monster who had kidnapped her, and how she wanted to leave, angered him Because there would be absolutely no way that he would let her leave him.

"Im gonna cut our time together short. I have to go and finish taking care of something that needs my attention but when I return, Come with Me," Vishious was trying to calm his composure. He didn't want to make Payne become afraid of him and knew that he needed to get away from her right now, so he could calm himself down.

"Where?" Payne asked. her voice coming out breathy.

"Just be ready when I return," Vishious said.

"Y-yes Lord Vishious, I'll be ready to go with you when you return." Payne said a little shyly. They than just stood there, neither one saying another word for a moment. Payne was waiting for Vishious to start walking back towards where they had walked from.

Knowing that she wouldn't be left to wonder around aimlessly on her own and that she would be taken back to the aquarium, but to her surprise she heard Vishious say, " Creeper , Dire," Vishious called and two men walked forward to kneel down on one knee before Vishious with their heads lowered. They both wore Long black robes and had hoods over their heads, not allowing Payne to see the two men's faces.

"Yes, Our Lord," They both said together, still keeping their heads bowed as they spoke.

"I'll leave you two in charge of seeing Beautiful Ms. Payne to her room, and making sure that no one disturbs her." Vishious ordered.

"Yes, Our Lord", They again answered together. Vishious than looked passed his men that were still knelt down before him and looked at Payne with a blank expression on his face, not letting one guess to what it was that he was thinking. And without another word spoken to anyone he disappeared and was gone.

Leaving Payne with the two men who he had ordered to accompany her back to the room that she was kept. She numbly followed them with her head lowered. She was unable to contain this overwhelming sadness that she was suddenly overcome with and feeling at this moment.

She wanted to cry, but she was trying to hold on to the last little bit of dignity that she felt she had left, at least until she reached her room. She didn't want to cry when she was in the company of Vishious' men. If she was left alone after Lord Vishious had disappeared, she would've broke down into tears but she kept her composure while she being escorted by the two men.

One was leading the way and the other was walking a few steps behind her as they walked.

Creeper and Dire did not speak a word to her or even look at her once the entire time that they walked with her. Upon reaching the room one of the men opened one of the doors and just stood there holding it opened, waiting for her to walk inside. Payne had expected them to say something before they left but once she walked inside the door it was immediately shut behind her and she could hear it being locked.

**************

Payne brought herself out of her thoughts and back to the present, still sitting at the edge of the tank.

She plunged herself into the dark waters and began swimming without having any specific place as to where she was swimming too. She was just trying hard to keep her mind from thinking anymore about Lord Vishious, or about Sinyster.

She kept finding herself absent-mindedly swimming towards the glass at the front of the aquarium, as if hoping that she'd see Lord Vishious standing in front of the glass looking at her, waiting for her to approach.

But after a long, long time Payne gave up in expecting that he'd come to see her and she finally swam up to the surface of the tank and swam over to the stairs that helped her to be able to get in and out of the water easily.

She pulled herself up and sat on the top of the stairs pulling her tail out, so she would fully dry. Once she was dried she walked down the spiral stairs that went down the side of the giant tank and she walked to the front of the tank and leaned up, pressing her back against the glass.

She had never came out of the water, only coming out when it was time for her to eat and then she would always return to the water right after. But right now she felt like she was in a fog, everything seemed to be hazy around her, not having any colors or focus. Just shadows seemed to surround her and even the bright black-green flames from the torches that lit up the room, seemed to be burning dull.

Payne just stared at the empty large space in front of her, unmoving, unblinking and even her breathing came out shallow. The sturdy glass in which her back was pressed against was helping support her and keeping her on her feet.

She did not even realize when it was that she started crying. Faint sounds of her sobbing reached her ears and her beautiful eyes were now streaming with tears that ran down her face. Her delicate face was framed by her long, wet, messy locks of hair that cascaded down her shoulders and back.

Slowly she started sliding down the glass, and she came to sit on the cold marble floor, she wept and her chest hurt and felt heavy. Her body trembled with each sob she took.
