Vacation with the Potters

After the term was over and everyone was back at home, Hermione, Draco, Ginny, and Harry decided to take a little trip together. Hermione was excited to get away for a few weeks and spend some quality time with her family. She had been so busy lately. A new prime minister was appointed, and she was having a hard time convincing her everything about the magical world. It took extra trips, and she was still having a hard time believing the women would keep it a secret.

The children didn't know yet, and they were all going to tell them today when they got back from their lunch with Cissy. She was going to come to because the younger set of triplets were getting around much better now, and having 9 children to look after would be a big task. They were going to go to Madrid for a week and Barcelona for a week. All of the adults were really excited, and they were hoping their children would be just as happy.

"Hello, mother," Scorp hugged his mother before sitting down on the floor in front of the chessboard. He and Hyperion had an ongoing game, and it was lasting for days.

"Hello dear, where are your siblings?"

"Well, Hyperion should be right in, and Ara said she was going to do a lap of the gardens since it was so nice out. We might have worn grandmother out; she mentioned wanting to lie down."

"Could you do me a favor and find your sister, father, and I have some exciting news for the three of you."

"Are you having another baby?" Scorp looked shocked.

"No, of course not."

"Oh," Scorp laughed before heading outside to fetch his sister.

Once all three of them were back in the living room, and Hermione and Draco had gotten the three littles up from their nap, they told them.

"Two whole weeks!" Hyperion looked excited to be going somewhere they had never been before, and Ara looked equally as thrilled.

"This is so cool," Scorp added.

"When are we leaving, Dad?" Ara looked as if she would start packing this instant, which was good because they were leaving tomorrow.

"Actually, we are leaving tomorrow."

"Really!" Ara jumped up and started running up the stairs before coming back down and hugging both of her parents, "Thank you."

"You are welcome sweetheart," Draco smiled at how wonderful his children were and helped Hermione up off the floor where she was sitting with Nova and Carina. They were all going to have to get packing if they were going to make their flight tomorrow. The babies were far too young to travel by port key, and there were too many children to apparate, so they were flying. Hermione had to convince Ginny and Draco that it was going to be alright, perfectly safe.

"It is beautiful here!" Lily had a smile so big when they finally arrived. They had spent a few days close to the hotel exploring the neighboring streets, and today they were finally in the heart of the city.

"It is, isn't it," Ara looked around at the architecture and was amazed at everything that was there.

"So Ara," James really wanted to spend some time alone with her on this trip, but he wasn't sure that it was going to happen, "Do you think our parents would let you, me, your brothers, and Al go to dinner at one of those cafes down the road by our hotel one night this week. Without them?"

"Maybe, why?" Ara smiled. They had grown closer since their date and even made time before the end of the term to go on another one.

"Well, I thought if they do, then we could sit by ourselves and have like another date maybe. If you wanted to, of course."

"Oh, well. Do you think my brothers or your brother would say anything to our parents?"

"Not if we asked them really nicely. Plus, they would be there too. They could supervise. Not that I want that."

"Well, I suppose asking wouldn't hurt. We should probably talk to them about it first, though. Don't you think?"

"Good thinking, I can do it tonight. We are all sharing a room anyway, so that will make it easy."

James came up to Ara the next day during breakfast and told her how the boys would be fine with that, though they were a little apprehensive at first.

"Mother, father," Ara smiled her biggest smile. She normally got what she wanted, but they were in a whole other country, and she wasn't so sure this time.

"Yes, dear," Draco pulled her closer and sat her on his lap like when she was little.

"Scorpius, Hyperion, James, Albus, and I were wondering if we could go to one of the cafes tonight before dinner alone?" She waited patiently for an answer trying to read her parents' faces they were making at one another. Ginny was now in on the conversation having her son's names mentioned.

"And they sent you because they figured you were the best chance at getting a yes?" Draco laughed, thinking about how they had probably talked about which one of them would ask.

"No, actually, I volunteered." She shot her dad another smile. She really wanted to spend some time with James, and she hadn't really noticed how much she missed him until this summer.

"Well, I suppose if you are only going to be gone for a little while and if it is just down the street." Hermione was not so sure, though.

"We could go to the restaurant we were looking at yesterday 'Mione," Ginny offered. She thought that she might know what was going on, "They could meet us thereafter. It just across the street. I think that would be alright. Then we are right there if they need us for anything."

"Alright, but those boys better keep an eye on you." Draco smiled at his daughter, and she kissed him on the cheek in thanks.

"Thank you," She smiled at the adults and then walked back over to where her brother and James were sitting.

"They said we could go. Thank you so much, boys." Ara smiled at her brother. They really were the best.

"I don't want to see any snogging, understand." Hyperion was frowning at James.

Ara blushed immediately at the mention of kissing. Of course, and James wouldn't be doing that. They were going to have some coffee and then meet their parents for dinner.

"So what do you think is really going on 'Mione?" Ginny was leaning back in her chair, watching her oldest interact with Ara.

"Well, based on what is going over there, I think your son and my daughter figured out how to go on a date while they are here. With the supervision of my oldest sons." The women laughed at Draco's face.

"What they cannot go then,"

"We already told them they could go, Draco. Plus, it is only coffee." Hermione kissed Draco's cheek and smiled at him.

"Well, since when is Ara going on dates?" Draco was so confused, and frankly, he wasn't ready for his little girl to grow up.

"Oh, Draco," Hermione shook her head. She had forgotten that she hadn't shown him the letter she had gotten from Hyperion during their last term.

"What?"

"James and Ara have already been on a few dates while they were at Hogwarts. They went to Hogsmeade. Hyperion owled me about it. I didn't want you to freak out before we went on this trip. Plus, they are still young. It doesn't mean anything.
