''Could I just maybe learn the skill book...?'' Daniel took the book and held it in their palms. He was gazing over it, wondering if he can learn it or not, however, without awakening, he can't absorb and learn the book.

To him, it's nothing but a bunch of papers that he could only dream of absorbing. Yet, looking at the skill book, tempted him to learn whether he has awakened or not.

As he sees the title of the skill book, Bone Shot, which the skeleton warriors have used commonly, it shoots out an arrow made of bones and it's effective against those who use holy powers since it is considered an undead attack that is unholy.

''Learn skill book'' Daniel uttered out the words where if someone wants to obtain the skill. No one knows why this must be done, but no one ever cared.

Of course, not being an awaken, he can't learn it, so he's not disappointed at all as he already expected this outcome, however, he still tried.

''Learn Skill Book'' Daniel gripped the book harder and said emotionally.

It failed again, and he attempted more tries in hoping that he would succeed and every turn he tries, he'll get more emotional. The failure of learning seems to hurt him.

Finally, after some time, he cried with frustration and he throws the book away.

''Why can't I awaken!? I'm not asking for much, I just want to earn money where I could have at least paid the hospital fees and healed her sickness. So why are those evil scumming hunters get to be powerful while I'm rotting here!? It's unfair!'' Daniel said.

He finds it hard to keep on going without being awakened. Society now has changed and what matters to the whole world is how powerful awakening is.

They are the ones that could get anything, and those who are weak, get the rotten ones.

Maybe because the gods have heard his prayers, or perhaps it's because he's a little bit late, or maybe it's a coincidence that his body shone up in golden colour light.

''What is this golden light!?'' He stopped crying and began observing the light that is shining on his body.

''Don't tell me, I'm being awakened!? But isn't the colour of awakening red? How can it be a golden colour?'' Daniel questioned.

When a 10-year-old undergoes the awakening process, his body will be lighted up in red colour, signifying the entrance of awakening.

However, for some reason, Daniel has been embraced by a golden light, as though it is the warmth given by god.

After a minute, all the light is gone, leaving him dumbfounded couldn't understand what just happened. A minute ago, he was crying about how unlucky he is and now he has awakened, so it just made him not know what to feel.

It felt so sudden and surreal for it to happen, but it wasn't a dream. He pinched himself many times, ensuring that it was the reality.

''It's real...It's real...I'm not dreaming am I?'' Daniel said. His heart was filled with happiness and he wanted to jump out.

''Thank you, god! Thank you, god!'' He believed it is the miracles of gods wherein truthfully, he was just a little bit late in awakening. There are some cases where an 18-year-old teen has awakened or even 25 years old.

But who would blame Daniel for being overdramatic and excited? He had to take care of and paid for his sister's hospital fees when he became a 12-year-old boy, and it's when his grandpa died.

(It'll be explained more in the future about the grandpa)

With no one to take care of them both, he had to be independent and step up no matter how young he is.

His body is trembling with excitement and enthusiasm, and knowing that the team were fully focusing on the boss monster, Daniel sneakily learned the skill book without anyone noticing.

A small ball of light came out from the book and it entered Daniel's mind and afterwards, the book dissipates into essences of light.

A ticklish tingling feeling ran through his mind and eventually, he learned the skill called 'Bone Shot'.

''Is this what it feels like to learn a skill and become awakened?'' Daniel said.

He can feel strength surging through his veins and he can feel his body brimming with an infinite amount of energy.

Wishing to try out the newly gained skill, Daniel faced his palms down the ground and used the skill Bone Shot. It can be activated either through the vocal or through thought.

A 30 cm bone emitted out of nowhere away from his palm, and it shot and pierced the ground.

Once again, it made Daniel realise that everything is real and he felt unimaginably good about it.

It's a feeling that he won't find before awakening, and now, he couldn't find the words to describe his happiness.

He's like a little kid that has finally gotten his present and couldn't get enough of it.

''If I'm not wrong, an average Rank G hunter could shoot out a long-range type of abilities 10 times, so I could at least probably shoot maybe 5? Since I'm just starting'' Daniel thought.

'That should have been the 5th time, I'm glad I could at least used it 5 times and that means I should have 10Mp, but why don't I feel tired?' Daniel questioned.

He thought it was quite weird that he was not tired at all since those who have used most of their MPs felt exhausted, but, right now, he doesn't feel anything.

The only thing he feels is the unexplainable satisfying emotion that lurks inside his heart.

He feels quite proud of achieving such feats, but, he believes he could go further since he's not tired at all.
