The Truth

[This all started 200 years ago when I was first created. My creator had bonded me to Athelstan—a human with the purest soul I have ever seen. He was young when I first bonded with him. Everything was fine at first he was growing well and he surpassed anything my creator thought possible by a human. Within the first year, he was able to become the strongest and smartest person on earth. His creations and advancements in magic were incredible. The most amazing part was that no matter how strong he got he always helped people. Never let anger take over and never hurt anyone.]

"Then what happened to him? He seems like a good person," Virgil asked

[Yes he was. He was an amazing person. Until he encountered another system user. Someone who could be described as the complete opposite of Athelstan. At first, the two got along they help the galaxy advance. But things changed one day when the other Klaus he killed Athelstan's family. His wife, child, mother, father, and sister everyone close to Athelstan were killed in front of him. Then for years, he was torched watching his family killed and brought back to life. Klaus even forced him to kill his family with his own hands.]

"...w-why did he do it?" Virgil asked his voice filled with shock

[Simply because he could. He said that it was fun breaking him. After years he finally left Athelstan stuck in a void realm with a mind demon that could cause him to relive those events]

"Why didn't you help him why didn't you do anything? Or your creator?" Virgil asked his voice filled with anger

[I couldn't and that's what hurt the most. The person I loved was suffering and I could only watch and my creator did nothing because he enjoyed the show, he said that it was the most fun enjoyment he had in eons]

[Then it happened a being that has always been and always will be spoke to Athelstan. The void, nothing itself offered Athelstan the chance at revenge and escape in return he would take over as the Void]

"And I'm assuming he took the deal," Virgil sighed

[Yes. I was torn away from Athelstan and he was given the powers of the void. For months he hunted and killed all living beings as sacrifices to the void to become stronger. Not long after he was able to find Klaus. He made him suffer pain that even the gods could not describe. After killing Klaus he became something beyond human, god, or living. With this power, he looks for the creator of Klaus's system and sacrifices him to the void but not before stealing his ability to create systems. With that, he found my creator and killed him for not helping him]

"Then it that why you want me to stop him because he killed your creator?" Virgil asked

[No at that point I still loved him I did not feel anger at what he did. But he did not stop he continued to kill the system creator and the system host. Millions died, and worlds were destroyed. Realities shattered, and he only kept getting stronger the darkness within him kept spreading. That's when I found another host and tasked them with stopping him. But he corrupted them, offering them a system that would allow them to achieve their deepest desires]

"So those are the twelve you spoke about,"

[Yes Vira the demonic queen of lust who only wanted to indulge in unending lust. Victor the undead god who wanted to bring back his younger sister something I could not do. Titus the Lord of strength wanted pure unadulterated strength that would allow worlds to bow to him. Darlik the son of Midas had a mind filled with greed he only wants to own everything from money to power to women. Those four are the strongest to serve under Athelstan. the others are strong but nowhere as close to their level of strength]

"I see so he kept taking away any host you choice?" 

[Yes I was close to losing all hope so I chose you and the last person to stop them]

"But these people have been system users for over a hundred years they have strength I couldn't dream of achieving," Virgil replied

{That's why I'm here. I was created to study you and help you grow much faster than the other system users}

"I see but what makes you think I can stop him and why hasn't he attempted to speak with me?" Virgil asked

[I chose you because of your soul's strength and your adaptability. It is higher than any system user I have seen and your soul is worth millions. But for why he hasn't spoken to you until now I truly don't know. I believe that curse was a test to see if you would be interesting to him]

"But if he is as strong as you say what keeping him from coming here and killing me,"

[Because I brought you to the dead zone. Every world in this place is destined to be destroyed. It can't be found by any living being. That is probably why he contacted you in your soul realm]

"Still how long will that last? He will find a way here," Virgil added

[Yes that's why I removed all limiters placed on the me. I will give you access to everything I have. But some are still limited because of my fundamental purpose]

"Like what?" Virgil asked

[While you were asleep I forced unlocked the summoning and world travel functions. I also removed the limiter placed on your leveling now you can level infinitely and so can your skills]

"I see I guess that will be a big help but tell me. Why didn't you speak of this earlier and why did you only speak to Sabastian and not me?" 

[I feared that you would break our bond if I told you, and I did not wish to get close to someone who I could lose]

"Alright, I don't plan to leave simply because I'm already this deep in but I need to know everything you know about the twelve if you want me to stop them," Virgil sighed 

[A/N; I will be taking any ideas about the rest of the twelve. If you have any other plot ideas please let me know and thanks to everyone for their support]
