Sorcerer's world Mysthia

As Merlin grew up, He was more interested in knowing the world around him since he knew this world had magic. Although the only person he ever saw doing magic was the person holding him when he was born.

Turns out he was a person brought by his father to make sure he was born healthy since there were some complications regarding his birth. Was that that a coincidence with his reincarnation?

He studied his surroundings as much as he could. This world had no electricity. It had oil lamps for lighting. The house was a decent enough structure. Built from some kind of brick or stones. He couldn't be sure. The world was identical to the Medieval Europe he knew. 

As he read Merlin got the information of the world. he was reborn into the world of Mysthia on the continent Drexia. which was ruled by several kingdoms. He was currently situated in a middle-sized city named Erigal, under the rule of the Kingdom of Rosewood.

Merlin's father – Mike Anderson , was a lord. Even though his rank as a baron was lowest in the nobility social class, he won the title by shedding blood and tears in battles. after discharged from active military service, Mike Anderson was conferred upon the title of Baron by the king alongside a piece of land of a favorable size.

This was a world that practiced magic, and those that directly cultivated magic were known as wizards or mages . However, Wizard were rare, as only few percent of people in the world of Mysthia was qualified to be a wizard. They made extremely dangerous for their destructive spells and capabilities. they could easily turn the battlefield for killing thousands people.

under the wizards were the knights, as knights were generally much stronger than a mage in terms of body strength they could easily crush rock with their bare hands. After many years of hardworking and strengthening their bodies, some of them were able to sense Magic and were able to use it in their bodies, allowing them to break through the limits of a mortal. This energy was known as mana. it was similar to the mana a mage use, but they could not be used to cast spells. Once a knight was capable of using mana, they became truly powerful and were qualified to receive the title of Grand knight.

Knights were the Master of sword's.they were excellent in close quarters combat, and known for their raw power and speed. In the same time a well trained knight could kill fifty people on the battlefield, a powerful Wizard could easily kill a thousand people, which is why they were more dangerous than knights.

Even though wizard above everyone else, there were differences among them because of talent. This was major gap in mage's strength, since talent couldn't be increased or trained.

There are many ways to measure talent in the world of mysthia. The most common test was Elementel test. a mage was categorized into one of five colors: grey, blue, purple, silver and gold. grey was the weakest while gold was the strongest. Mages of blue talent or above were classified as an elite mage.

Roughly 70% of all mages possessed grey level talent and remained a first rank mage for their entire lives. On the other end mages of purple level or above were considered elite mages. they have chance to breakthrough second rank.

wizard were described both by their current strength, and their innate talent.
