Testing The New Powers

Arno slowly clapped his hands, breaking their concentration and making both Leus and Felix look at him

"Come inside"

Felix quickly stepped inside and apologized

"Sorry, Master, The Young Master's aura confused me"

Leus closed the door and walked back inside.

He looked at Felix again then looked at Arno and asked

"Why is Guardian Felix's aura stronger than Dad's although both of them are Elite Knights?"

Felix was intrigued

"You can see my aura? I didn't notice you activating any magic"

Leus shook his head

"I have a Domain now, and I can see the aura of anyone inside my Domain"

Felix was confused, He never heard of anything like that before.

" ... Okay"

Arno looked at Leus and replied

"I've mentioned before that Blaze is just an average Elite Knight. The Library's Guards are much better.

You must know that people in the same Realm aren't all the same; the difference in power comes from things like Abstracts, Skills, Elements, and physical abilities.

The disparity between individuals especially widens at this level.

The difference between an Elite as powerful as me and an average one is like the gap between an average Elite and a slightly better-than-average Knight. It's a massive difference."

Leus nodded

"I see."

Felix looked at Leus and asked

"Young Master, did you call me? I got summoned by your Emblem"

Leus tilted his head and looked at Arno

"The Emblem can do that?"

"Of course, it has many functions, calling the Guards is one of them.

Just add Water Mana into it and it's done"

Leus was impressed, and Felix was confused

"If you didn't summon me, then should I leave?"

Arno stopped him

"Why are you in such a rush? I called you"

Felix scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment and didn't say anything

Arno continued and explained

"Leus is about to use an Abstract he recently unlocked, I want you to tell me if you notice any changes."

Felix immediately fixed his posture and replied energetically

"Understood"

Leus stood in the middle of the room, and Arno and Felix stood in front of him.

He activated the Abstract of Concealment, and the changes were instantaneous.

The sounds of his breath and movement completely disappeared, and he could instinctively feel that something was different.

'The quietness is kinda eerie'

'Doesn't matter, I'll get used to it.'

He looked at Arno and asked

"How is it?"

Arno shook his head

"You're too weak for it to work on me, I can see your aura just fine.

But I can't hear any sounds coming from you when you move, so it is working."

Leus nodded

'Not so bad, if it worked on Arno then it'd have been too good to be true'

He turned around and looked at Felix, and Felix was looking at him with narrowed eyes and a very serious face.

'Such a solemn and earnest expression ..'

Leus couldn't help but be affected by Felix's seriousness, so he asked in a serious tone

"So ... How is it? Is there any difference?"

"Your aura has faded, but I can still see it"

Arno looked at Felix and said

"Turn around, let's see if you can sense his aura without seeing it"

Felix complied and turned around

Arno gestured with his hand for Leus to move around and Leus slowly moved.

After a couple of seconds, Felix said

"I need to concentrate to be able to sense it, there's some kind of a blur on it, but once I focus hard, it's cleared"

After Felix explained what he felt Arno nodded

"Alright then that's enough, no need for further testing."

He looked at Leus and explained

"You remember that Abstracts do not work on those with equivalent power, Right?"

Leus nodded

"Yes, you told me that I have to be stronger than someone for my Abstract to work on them, unlike Skills."

"Exactly, you're as powerful as Felix, an above-average Elite Knight.

This means that you're not yet strong enough for your Abstracts to work on the high-end of the Elite class.

However, this also means that they will work on anyone below that, Which is ... Spectacular.

Above-average Elites are a rare find."

Leus was happy to hear his evaluation, He even felt a bit prideful hearing praises from Arno ...

"Thanks, Master, I could've never reached this far without your help"

Arno nodded

"Indeed ... That's correct."

Leus smiled and didn't say anything

Arno asked

"Can you activate Advanced Mana Vision while the Abstract of Concealment is active?"

"Yes"

Leuc activated Advanced Mana Vision but interestingly

'My eyes ... aren't glowing?'

Normally, when he activates this spell, his eyes glow brightly, and he knows that they're glowing because the glow makes everything around him look brighter.

But now it was not doing that.

"Master, My eyes aren't glowing"

Arno nodded

"Yes, that's the Abstract's effect"

Leus smirked

'Now I can activate the spell whenever I want without worrying about looking weird.'

After Leus was done feeling satisfied, he looked at Felix and asked

"Did anyone ask about me?"

Felix quickly replied

"Yes, Elite Knight Blaze left you a message that he has returned home, also, a Soldier named Melisandre left you a message that she has achieved what you asked her to"

Leus nodded

'I'll pay everyone a visit'

"Thank you, Guardian Felix"

"Not a problem, Young Master"

After that, Felix got permission from Arno to leave the room and quickly left.

Arno then said Leus

"We have a couple of things to talk about, but perhaps you should go home first, seems like you got some things to attend to."

Leus thanked him

"Thanks, Master, I'll return in a couple of days"

"Bring Blaze with you the next time, I want to talk with the two of you"

"Okay, I will"

He said his goodbyes and left the room, leaving Arno alone.

Arno watched Leus' back until he was out of his sight, then a smirk appeared on his face and he murmured to himself

"Almost ripe, Almost."
