Surprising Proposal

The next day, Leus woke up a bit later than usual and went to his family in the lobby

Luckily, Blaze was still at home, So Leus sat on the couch and started talking.

"Mom, Dad I'm done training, I mastered all the spells in the book"

Hearing that, both Viorica and Blaze smiled for completely different reasons

"Really Leus? Good job, I'm so proud of you!" Viorica said

"Yes Dad, I'm sure about it, I can cast all the spells"

"How about you try it with me?"

Leus was surprised for a second but then thought

'Maybe he wants to make sure'

So he readily agreed

"Sure Dad, Let's do it"

"Very well, Go outside and I'll come in a couple of minutes"

Leus excitedly walked to the garden

'It's the first time I'll use my magic with someone!'

'I'm really excited about this, I should be able to stop him from coming to me or land some spells on him'

A couple of minutes later Blaze came outside holding two wooden swords

"Catch!"

He said while throwing one at Leus

Leus picked up the sword and asked

"What's that?"

Blaze said in a mocking tone

"What? Do you not know what a sword is? Really?"

"No ... I mean, Yes, I know what a sword is, But why?"

"Why not? Are you against learning swordsmanship?"

Leus was confused about how the situation was developing, But he didn't show it

"Not really, I just thought this was about my magic"

"It is, Leus, It's all about your magic, You'll get to understand everything"

"Okay Dad, When you're ready to start say me"

Leus aimed the sword at the ground

Blaze shook his head

"One, You can't use your magic on anyone unless you see them as an enemy or opponent.

This includes your siblings, even while playing. No exceptions. Got it?"

"Of course Dad"

Blaze continued

"Two, The mock battle ends when one of us can't continue or verbally surrenders"

"Okay, I understand"

Blaze stood in one place and said

"Take the first shot Leus, I won't move."

Leus was ready to attack, but at the same time he didn't know what exactly he should do

'I don't want to hurt Dad in some way or another'

After thinking for a couple of seconds he came up with a plan

'I'll throw a slow fireball as a distraction, And behind it a slow Hydraulic, If he doesn't notice it then it'd hit him but won't cause much damage'

Leus created 8 daggers floating around him

'I'll try to distract him by making him focus on as many things as possible so he misses the Hydraulic'

He then created his standard, skull-sized fireball, and behind it he hid a Hydraulic, Then he launched both.

The fireball was slower than his normal attack, Having only 60% of its speed, And Hydraulic was similarly slower as well

'I want to avoid dealing serious damage'

When Blaze noticed what Leus launched at him he narrowed his eyes and readied his wooden sword

Instantly, The sword became coated in flames, And when the fireball approached him, Blaze swiftly slashed forward with his sword destroying both the fireball and the Hydraulic behind it

To Leus, Blaze's strike was just a blur

'What the hell, I didn't even see what he did'

It was simply too fast for his mind to catch up with it

With narrowed eyes and a serious voice, Blaze asked

"Basileus, What are you doing?"

"What do you mean? Dad?"

Leus didn't know what Blaze was asking

"Do you think I didn't see you train? Everyone in the house did, and even if I didn't, You were mostly in my Domain, I felt everything.

Why are you not properly attacking?"

Leus wanted to say that he didn't want to hurt him but when he was about to say it he only opened his mouth and then closed it again

'This really sounds too stupid to be said out loud'

When Blaze got no reply he continued

"It's either you think that I'm weak, Or you think that you're too strong,

So which is it?"

After a couple of seconds of silence, Leus looked at the ground and said

"I just don't know how powerful I really am"

When Blaze heard that his serious voice came back to normal

"That's why we're doing this, The most important thing is, Don't be conceited"

Leus replied in a serious tone

"Yes, I understand, I'll attack with my full power next time"

A wicked smile appeared on Blaze's face

"There's no next time, You got the first shot, Now it's my turn"

Blaze took a stance, And at that moment, The atmosphere became so heavy that even breathing became difficult for Leus
