Solving a problem

Scar shouted

"THAT'S SLOW?"

Bones was stunned by Scar's reaction, Leus on the other hand, just replied calmly

"It's an average hit, I didn't use my full force"

"You didn't use your full force? Are you kidding? If you went all out, would my sword be in pieces, my arm in a cast, or a combo deal?"

Leus chuckled

"Your affinity is Water, You should excel at defense!"

"Excel? Pfffft"

Scar put down his sword and began frantically moving his arm up and down

"Leus, I can't even feel my arm anymore"

Leus started scratching his chin in thought

'That's not a practical approach is it'

Then Leus got an idea

"Hey Scar, Can you do this?"

Leus held his sword forward, Transformed the Mana inside him into Water Mana, and pushed it into his sword

The sword immediately became enveloped with a thick, bright blue liquid that looked like clear water, but much denser.

Scar looked at the sword in a daze, Bones was even more dazed than Scar

"No ..... How many tricks do you have"

"Then we'll have to start by teaching you this.

If my attacks are too slow then it's basically of no use, and if it's average then you are unable to withstand it, We must improve your defense first."

Scar nodded and asked

"And how are we going to do that?"

"It shouldn't consume much Mana, especially since Water is your affinity.

Just transform the mana inside of your body into Water Mana and push it out to your sword.

Think of the sword as an extension of your hand, a part of your body, and put your Mana into it."

'Doing that is far far easier than learning how to silently cast an Element, he should be able to do it.'

Scar tried to do what Leus was saying,

He held the sword, closed his eyes, and started wishing that Water Mana enter his sword.

While Scar was trying to do that, The red-haired guy brought drinks for Leus and Scar, then quickly went back beside the pot.

Leus began drinking while watching Scar doing basically nothing

After about 2 minutes of silence, Scar opened his eyes and said

"Nothing is happening"

Leus sighed

".... Do you know how to transform your Mana into Water Mana?"

"No"

"Then why didn't you say that?"

Scar just shrugged

"I didn't try it before, So I didn't know if I knew it or not. I thought that maybe if I tried it then I'd be able to do it"

Leus ignored the nonsense Scar was spouting and asked

"You said that you know the Water spell, Right?"

"Yeah, But if I use it now then I won't be able to train"

"Don't worry about that, Use the spell"

Scar looked around him and then started walking towards the pot, but Leus stopped him

"What are you doing?"

"Going to put the water in the pot"

"Why would you do that?"

"What do you mean why, water is valuable"

"No, Come here and do it in front of me, Forget about the water"

"But -"

"No buts, just do it."

Scar sighed and stood in front of Leus.

He extended his right hand forward and started chanting the spell, water poured from his hand to the floor

After a few seconds of pouring water, Scar stopped

"That's it, If I use more I'll faint"

Leus silently cast Mana Augmentation on Scar

Light Mana surrounded Scar's body, Then entered it and filled it with warmth.

Instantly, Scar felt energetic and active again

Scar was surprised

"What the - what did you just do?"

"Clearly, I re-filled your mana, But are you already feeling the difference?"

"Yes, I feel that my entire mana has recovered, No actually, I feel more energetic than before I used my mana .... This is amazing"

While Scar was looking at Leus with reverence, Leus was thinking to himself

'Strange, I remember it was supposed to take some time to work.

Maybe silent casting negates that flaw? Or does the mana quality make a difference? Hmm, Well whatever, It's better this way anyway'

"Well then, Use the spell again"

And so Scar used the spell again, and again, and again, and again ...

Bones wanted to bring a ton of buckets and collect all this flowing water but he couldn't say anything ... He was too shocked and confused to do so, and even if he did, He didn't have enough buckets for all this water anyway.

The red-haired guys just kept refilling Leus' drink while watching the process in awe

After a while, Leus used Mana Augmentation on Scar for the last time

"Enough, Now hold your sword"

Scar did as instructed

"Remember how you felt after chanting the spell and try to recreate it, but instead of letting the Mana flow out of your palm as water, make the Mana course through your body, feel it within you.

After you do that, you should be able to direct it into your sword."

Scar concentrated hard on the Mana inside his body, and after a couple of tries, He realized how easy it was to transform it into Water Mana

'It actually is so simple!'

Very quickly, He was able to put Water Mana into his sword

Scar's sword became enveloped in liquid, It wasn't as thick nor as clear as Leus', But it worked.

Leus applauded

"Good job,

Now we continue"

He ushered Scar to take the stance, And Scar did it, Then Leus attacked again, Same force as the last time, But to Scar, The difference was huge

"This is so much better, The mana dissipates the shock to a great extent"

Leus nodded

"Yeah, That's how it's supposed to work"

And like that, Leus kept on attacking Scar from all directions, Right, Left, Up, and down.

The attacks weren't at Leus' full speed or power, so Scar didn't have much difficulty blocking them.

"Don't mindlessly block, try to sense my attack not just watch them with your eyes.

Try to feel the incoming attack with your sword.

Try to sense the World Mana and how my attack affects it.

Sharpen all your senses and use your instincts not just your mind."

Scar found it difficult to comprehend what Leus was saying, but he got the point

'Use all my senses and my instincts in blocking not just watch and block'

The two trained like that for hours.

Scar needed Mana Augmentation frequently to be able to maintain the constant Mana flow to his sword, and every couple of hours, Leus would use Mana Augmentation on Bones and the two red-haired guys too to keep them active.

He needed Bones to watch and the red-haired guys to fill the drinks.

And very quickly, it became dark.
