Leus went home and spent around two days with his family, during which, ultimately nothing special happened.
Blaze still hasn't returned from the Strife Zone, and nothing new happened while Leus was training in the library, so the two days passed quickly and peacefully.
After that, Leus decided to go and visit Scar
'I need to check if they need more potions, and I also need to create stones as I promised'
This time, he went directly to The Butchers' old base.
The place now became a big training ground.
Leus entered through the gate and inspected the changes

Leus evaluated her aura and couldn't come to a conclusion

'I can barely see any difference from the last time'

Leus deactivated the spell and asked her
"How many times can you cast it now?"
"I can chant it 9 times without any problems"
Leus nodded in approval
"Keep up the good work and I'll give you another spell"
Meli smiled brightly
"Thank you so much Leus"
Leus waved his hand
"Don't worry about it, by the way, how are your sister and father?"
"They're very well.
Our situation is much better now, thanks to Scar's kindness we don't have to pay protection fees anymore.
Also, Scar's area has expanded and there's a lot of wood available, so Father gets many requests! Things are going very well."
"Is that so? Then that's very good.
Well now, if you will excuse me I got some things to do, but if there's anything that you need you can let me know."
Leus said her goodbye and walked towards Scar
'Scar is in love, since when does that greedy guy exempt anyone from paying the fees? The guy wanted to sell the stones I made!'

Leus smiled wryly
'And the poor girl is falling for him.'
Scar was training with some guy Leus had never seen before, when they both noticed Leus approach they stopped training and Scar spoke
"That's enough for now, Take your leave and come back tomorrow"
The guy just nodded and quickly left
Leus then greeted Scar in a teasing tone
"Hello, Love Bird"
"Huh?"
"I heard that you stopped taking protection money from Meli's family"
Scar scratched his neck in embarrassment
"Well, a man can try"
Leus approached him and whispered
"I think it's working, keep it up"
Scar's eyes shined when he heard that and he nodded vigorously
Leus stopped joking and spoke in a serious tone
"Anyway, how are things going?"
"Pretty well.
The things you asked for the last time, we did it.
We now ask the Collectors to actually check on those who claim to be unable to pay.

"By the way Leus, what do you think of the place now?"

Scar spoke in a teasing tone

They both laughed about it and conversed for a while more about some details, like the amount of potions or bricks needed.
After they were done talking about these matters, Leus asked about Scar's progress
"So, How is your training going? Do you feel any closer to unlocking the Abstract?"
Scar nodded
"The progress is slow, but I have improved A LOT with the sword.
I still think I need more months to unlock the Abstract though."
"For how long do you train?"
"From noon until evening, I got a lot to do so I can't spend the whole day training"
Leus nodded
"If there's anything that you need from me let me know"
"Oh about that, do you still not want to take your share?"
Leus shook his head
"I don't need it"
Scar said in a nonchalant tone
"More money for me then"
Leus just laughed
"Well, Leus, What are you planning to do now?"
"I'll roam around for a while then come back in the evening or the night.
I'll spend the night here then go to the library, we can do a party like the last time, I wanna meet Bones and Kyle too/"
"Sure.
That'd be a good way to meet the new guys as well, some guys joined our ... I don't know what to call it now, it's honestly too big to be just a gang.
Anyway, some guys joined us, I'm sure they all want to meet the BIG BOSS."
Leus sighed
"Big Boss, Purple Saint, Young Master, all sorts of weird names, just call me Leus"
"That's impossible, they must respect their Elders"
After Scar said that he couldn't hold back and started laughing
"Okay, sorry Leus, maybe Elders isn't the right word, they must respect the powerful guy."
"So funny? Maybe I should go and tell Meli about your ulterior motives."
Scar immediately fixed his expression
"Huh? No .. Don't be so serious, it's just a joke"
"Heh, look at yourself, The Great Protector, afraid of a girl"
Scar crossed his hands
"Can't wait until you like a girl too"
Leus scoffed

"Invite the guys and prepare a party, I'll come in a couple of hours."
