Arno continued

"Extreme measures could be taken at any time.

For example, seeing a loved one about to die could instantly make you breakthrough your limits, In your case, Seeing your enemies about to escape triggered something like that, Making your willpower so strong that you were able to temporarily unlock a Skill. That's my guess, at least."

"A Skill? A Skill could do all that?"

"Was it just a Skill or more? I'm not certain ..."

"What do you mean?"

"The average skill is something like this"

Arno extended his hand and a Wave of water came out of it

"I can control the Wave"

Arno started manipulating the wave, Extending it forward and pulling it back

"However, it's just a wave, it can't take a different shape.

Just like your Father's Skill, it's a whip of fire, He can cut with it, Destroy with it, But he can't make the whip transform into a beam of fire or something like that."

Leus nodded

"So ... I controlled multiple Skills at once?"

Arno shook his head

"I doubt that, but until you permanently unlock it and show me, I can't be sure."

Leus scratched his chin in thought

"How can I permanently unlock it then?"

"Well, That's what this room is for, sort of."

Leus looked around him in excitement, When Arno noticed his excitement he quickly added

"Don't get ahead of yourself, You have to unlock Elemental Abstracts first.

If you unlock Abstracts first then your Abstracts will evolve with you."

"I see ... Sure, Master."

'I'll just do what Arno says'

Leus thought that to himself and nodded, Then Arno pointed at the Crystals behind Leus and said

"These are Mana Crystals, they will help you unlock Abstracts"

Leus turned around to look at the Crystals, and Arno continued

"I have been preparing this room for a couple of months now, You must have noticed that the Barrier here is different, Right?"

"Yes"

"The barrier in the other room neutralizes mana, stopping it from doing any damage to the outside, but here, the Barrier traps it, Keeping it in its Elemental form but stopping it from exiting the barrier."

"What's ... The point of that?"

"Typically, when attempting to unlock an Elemental Abstract independently, one must acquire the ability of silently casting the Abstract's Element, surround oneself in the Mana of that particular element, and then learn to manipulate it in the specific manner necessary for unlocking the Abstract.

Alternatively, if silent casting isn't possible, or if the individual's Mana is too little, the individual will need to seek out a location saturated with the Mana of the desired element.

For instance, standing beside a lake for Water, next to a volcano for Fire, or within a dark cave for Darkness, and so on."

Leus nodded in understanding

'A lot of Mana is needed to unlock the Abstract.'

Arno continued

"That's the point of this room, The Mana Crystals will provide the Mana and the Barrier will trap it, Granting you unlimited access to high-quality Elite Mana as long as you stay inside the Barrier, Isn't that exciting?"

Arno's tone was enthusiastic for the first time since Leus met him

Leus noticed that and vigorously shook his head up and down

"Very exciting, Master"

Arno was satisfied by Leus' reaction and continued

"Lucky you, I didn't have such resources available growing up."

Arno sighed then continued

"Sadly, There are a couple of drawbacks to this method"

Leus was surprised to hear that

'It seemed perfect'

"The Barrier doesn't only block mana, It also blocks humans.

This means that as soon as you activate the Barrier and release the Mana, You can't leave without deactivating it, for if you do so, the Mana escapes."

"But ... Doesn't that mean that I can use a Crystal only a single time?"

Arno nodded

"Exactly. That's why it's preferred that you stay inside as long as you can.

Using the Barrier is unlimited, But the Mana isn't.

Once you use a Crystal it'll become empty, and filling these is VERY expensive, Some of them even came from the capital."

Leus became slightly nervous

"So ... I get 3 sessions to learn an Abstract?"

Arno noticed his nervousness and spoke in an easygoing tone

"Preferably, Yes, That'd save both money and time.

However, if you need more then it can't be helped.

As long as you're making progress I won't let resources be an issue"

Once again Leus felt really grateful for everything Arno had done and was doing for him

"Thank you so much, Master."

Leus had a couple of questions about how the Crystals and The Barrier functioned, so he started inquiring about them

"How do these Crystals work? Do I break them?"

Arno snickered and said

"That's a way to do it, But I'd prefer if you keep the Crystals intact so I can use them later, they can just be refilled after you empty them.

Just put your hand on it and will the Crystal to empty its mana"

Leus nodded

'I don't know what he means, but I'll find out once I try.'

"How does the Barrier work?"

"Add mana into it, but unlike the other barrier, This one never deactivates.

It has its own Mana Crystal under the Magic Circle to stop it from deactivating, Providing it with mana to function and air from the outside.

However, This Barrier is more like a prison, no one can enter it while you are inside.

When you want to exit you have to add Mana to it again, Making it deactivate."

Leus was surprised

"Even YOU can't enter it while I'm inside?"

"If I attack hard, I can brute force my way inside, but that'd just destroy the Barrier and might even damage the room, Not an ideal option.

Remember, these things cost money."

Leus nodded and looked around the room again, Arno understood what he wanted and explained

"This room is just like the other one, There are two rooms providing you with a bed and a shower, but your bedroom here includes a wardrobe.

You will notice once you start that some elements won't be easy on your body.

Ah, and also, You should wear something before you leave."

For a second, Leus didn't understand what Arno's last sentence meant, but then he remembered, He was still shirtless!
