Intense Training

After watching for hours, Bones became bored

'I can't even say that I'm tired because of this kid's magic ...'

After thinking about what to say, he simply asked

"When can I leave?"

Leus replied

"There's no need for you to stay anymore, You got the point, right?

Scar nodded, took out some bronze coins from his pocket, and handed them to Bones

"You can come back in the morning"

"Fine"

Leus was about to go back to training with Scar but Bones didn't move and just kept looking at Leus

Leus asked

"... What is it? Is there something you want?"

Bones seemed to be contemplating whether to say something or not, But eventually, he said it

"I underestimated you, You are a strong kid"

And he turned around and left

After he left Scar said to Leus in an easy-going tone

"He's a good guy"

"I see"

Then the red-haired guys came to Scar

"Boss ... The pot has been empty for a while now, and we have nothing to do here. Can we go home too?"

Scar nodded

"Yeah, sure"

They both looked at Leus for a couple of seconds then hurriedly walked away

Leus went and filled the pot and put it on fire again

"We need drinks"

Scar just chuckled

"Indeed"

And they went back to training

As night fell, only the sound of their swords clashing could be heard in the area. Even though the clanking was muffled because of the Water Wana surrounding Scar's sword, it was still audible since it was the only sound, that caused people to sometimes come and look for the source of the noise.

Every while, Leus would see someone coming and looking at them.

The spectators' reactions differed,

Men and women would look at them confused for a while then leave without saying anything, Girls would be impressed by them, and children would gather and watch the two of them like they were watching a show.

"Looks like we're getting a lot of attention" Leus said while gulping a glass

Then he gave it to Scar for a refill

Scar took the glass and sighed

'We truly need bigger glasses'

Then he nodded to Leus

"Yeah, Nothing interesting happens around here, So the two of us training is probably the hot topic now, Right after collecting firewood and building materials"

"Hmm? Why so?"

"Winter is coming soon, and the rain is a problem here, Many houses are full of cracks and so the rain enters them, They need to reinforce their homes and they need wood for warmth"

"I see ..."

Scar pointed at a red-haired girl who was watching them train for some time and loudly said to Leus

"Looks like someone is interested in you"

Leus looked back and the girl immediately disappeared

Last time I helped that girl's father and my mother now thinks I'm in love"

"You mean Meli? I hope you're not"

"I AM NOT"

Scar breathed a sigh of relief, then the two went back to training

They trained for many more hours, Whenever Scar felt tired Leus would use Mana Augmentation and restore his mana and stamina to continue.

When morning came, Bones and the two red-haired guys came back

When Bones saw them he yawned and asked

"You two are still training until now?"

Leus nodded

"Yeah. I'm only free for a couple of days, then I'll come maybe once or twice a month.

I need to train him as much as possible now since I probably won't do it again"

Bones was quite shocked by Leus' power ... He hadn't seen anything like that before, Meanwhile, the two red-haired guys just thought

'He's a monster in disguise'

And stayed as far as possible from Leus

Leus spoke

"You won't be needed today as well, Bones, You can come back tomorrow.

From tomorrow, I want you to train with Scar and I'll monitor how you both do"

Bones looked at Scar for confirmation and Scar nodded

"Just do as he says"

"Fine, I'll watch for some time then leave"

Leus replied and looked at Scar

"Sure, But first, there's something I want"

"What is it?"

Leus pointed at the metal pot

"We need pots and buckets, Basically anything that can hold liquid, We need many"

Scar was confused

"Why do we need that?"

"I have something in mind"

Scar called the red-haired guys and said

"You two, Go ask everyone in the area for big pots or water buckets.

Anyone who gives one will be exempted from the protection fee for 3 days"

The two guys looked at each other then one of them asked

"What does exempted mean, Boss?"

Scar sighed in exasperation

"It means we will take the pot or the bucket for the price of 3 days of protection fee"

Both Leus and Bones found it amusing, but neither said anything

"Understood boss!"

After they left Leus asked Scar

"Are they always like that?"

"They are good guys, Just slow on the uptake"

"What's their names?"

"They're twins, Kyle and Kenton, But I forgot which one is which so I never use their names, It'd be embarrassing to ask."

"That's ... Oh well"

"Let's get back to training"

"Right."

And like that, Leus and Scar resumed their training while Bones was watching them.

After a bit of time, Bones said he was leaving and would come back again later and left as well.

They trained for hours, And Leus noticed that he himself was getting better at handling the sword

'It feels easier to swing and just ..... More natural'

Leus' training with Blaze was a reversed version of what he's doing right now.

He always focused on defense, That's what Blaze has told him since his magic attacks are more than sufficient.

But now, He was solely focusing on swinging and attacking, which made him feel that he was improving in that aspect as well, albeit slowly.
