Holy Water

In the beginning, Scar thought that Leus wanted to collect water for some reason, or that he would make him train by filling the pots with water, But as soon as Leus started pouring white liquid into the pots his mind went blank

'What the hell is that?'

Leus filled about 40% of the pots and then turned around, Both Kyle and Kenton just looked at him in confusion, They didn't understand what he did, But from Scar's reaction they could tell that it was something big

Scar's mouth was agape, He tried to talk but he stuttered

"Is - Could it be -, No way ... "

Leus tilted his head

'Did he hit his head? or is it because of the lack of sleep? Maybe Mana Augmentation has side effects?'

Scar gulped and then finally mustered the courage to ask

"Is that Holy Water?????"

"Holy Water?"

Leus dug through his memories to remember where he heard that

...

'Ah yes, In the book it was written, Potions are commonly referred to as Holy Water'

Leus nodded

"Yeah, You can call it that, Holy water"

When Leus said that, Silence ensued, The only thing that could be heard was Scar's gulps and Kyle and Kenton's quickened breath

A couple of seconds into the silence, one of the brothers spoke in a shaky voice

"Are you .... A Saint?"

Leus became even more confused

"A Saint?"

The other brother said

"When we were young, our grandfather would tell us stories about how Saints are able to create Holy Water that can do miracles"

"Miracles? No, it's - ...."

'Now that I think about ... Yeah, Miracles will suffice, It's too bothersome to explain otherwise'

"You're exactly right, That's how it is, From where did you know about it, Scar?"

"Remember when I told you they gave me miscellaneous tasks in the Military?"

Leus nodded

"One of these tasks was to receive the cart that delivers the Holy Water from the Capital to the camp"

"I see. Well, You can call it whatever want, The point is, After I leave, No one would be there to use Mana Augmentation on you, your training time would lessen, and your progress would devolve from slow to nonexistent.

But with these Po- I mean Holy Water, You can train more. Just don't push yourself too far."

Scar was reluctant

"Leus, I don't know how to say it but ... this is probably worth a fortune. It was reserved only for Knights in the camp"

Later, I'm going to fill the rest of the pots;

80% of the pots would be for restoring Mana & stamina, 15% would be for Healing, in case Bones injured you or you injured yourself, and 5% would be for Cleansing, In case you got sick."

Scar kept quiet, Kyle and Kenton were looking at Leus in reverence and awe

Scar spoke in a solemn voice

"Thank you Leus ... Thanks a lot, I can't pay you back now but I will someday"

He truly felt indebted

"Pay me by keeping up your part of the deal, It'd be lame if I had to kill you after all this."

"Of course, I will."

Scar said that and turned around to look at Kyle and Kenton

"No matter what happens, Never tell anyone about the Holy Water."

Kyle and Kenton nodded and said

"Sure boss, We will keep it shut"

"Not enough, Don't say anything about it, Your life depends on that."

The brothers felt a shiver run down their spines and frantically nodded

Leus was thinking to himself

'My mana recovery rate needs to be faster .... hmm'

'Oh right!'

Leus put his hand in his pocket and took out the pouch where he keeps his money, Then from inside it he took out a ring

'Arno said that this ring does exactly that! I totally forgot about it'

Leus put the ring on and .... Didn't feel any difference

'Huh?'

He raised his fist in front of his face and inspected the ring, Even tried adding mana into it, But nothing changed

'What's wrong with this thing?'

Leus shook his finger a bit and touched the ring, But nothing changed

'Whatever, I'll just keep it on, if it works that's good, if it doesn't then it can't be helped'

He then moved forward and pulled Scar who was just standing in a daze and looking at the potions

"Let's go back to training"

"Ah -- Yes ... Yes, Let's go back"

Before Leus and Scar started their training Kyle and Kenton took Scar's permission and went back home.

Scar and Leus spent the rest of the night training and drinking together.

That night, More people than usual came over to see them train, Even a number of people from outside of Scar's area came to see the (Sword Maniacs)

Suddenly someone called

"Leus"

Scar and Leus heard a sweet voice, interrupting their training.

Leus looked over to see who came in the middle of the night.

It was a brown-haired girl, Her hair was open and she was wearing a red dress, She looked absolutely gorgeous under the moonlight.

Leus narrowed his eyes and looked at the girl then he realized who it was

It took Leus a couple of seconds to recognize her, She was strikingly different from when he first met her

"Meli? What are you doing here now?"

"People were talking, and I heard that a purple-haired boy was the reason for all this noise, and I know only one purple-haired boy.

So I came here to see you!"

Leus just scratched the back of his neck and replied

"Well .... How's your father doing?"

She looked at Scar and said

"Since you cured him he's perfectly fine! He even created two pots for the Protector today"

Scar spoke in a gentle voice

"Just call me Scar, Pretty one"

When Meli heard that she became flustered and her cheeks reddened, But as it was dark neither Leus nor Scar noticed that

"Ah- Ahem ... It's nice to see that you're fine and well! Thanks again for everything, I have to go now."

Meli said that then turned around and walked away, Her pace was so fast she seemed to be running.

After she left, Leus spoke in a nonchalant tone

"Looks like she felt shy"

Scar kept quiet for a couple of seconds then spoke in a serious voice

"Leus"

"Yeah?"

"Do you have your eye on her?"

"Huh? What do you mean? You aren't planning on doing something bad, right?"

Scar looked at Leus with a blank expression

"Who do you think I am? I'm obviously asking you if I can make a move on her"

"A move? You mean that you like her?"

" .... Yes, Is it a problem?"

"Nope, Not to me, Just go ahead"

"Amazing, I didn't want to make a move on your girl or something."

"Nope, Don't worry, She's not my girl at all"

Scar felt relieved

"Well then, Let's continue?"

"Yeah"

When Leus was about to attack Scar, He finally felt it, His mana was regenerating faster ... He focused on it and concluded

'The ring works ... It's not useless'

Leus was elated

Scar noticed that Leus was taking more time than usual, so he asked

"Is everything okay?"

"Yep, It is even better"

'I don't know why did it take time to start working but whatever, I can feel my mana filling up faster than normal ... Maybe 15% faster? 20%? Something like that'

Leus dashed forward and started attacking Scar

And so, Leus and Scar continued training until the sun rose, To them, It felt like only a couple of minutes passed.
