The next day, Leus got up somewhat late compared to always
'If I go out at dawn there would be only me and the pigeons in the streets'
He got up in the morning, Had breakfast, and went outside
Leus didn't have any destination in mind, He decided to walk in the opposite direction from the library.
'I've never walked that way before'
For a while, there were only houses and residential buildings
'I guess this is a neighborhood that's on the higher end of the scale'
Many houses were similar to his, And the people he saw walking looked well-built
'Probably Knights or higher'
Leus could've activated Advanced Mana Vision to make sure, But
'I don't want to walk around with my eyes glowing, It'd look either idiotic, and people will think that I'm trying to show off'
So he decided against it
Leus was nearing a crossroads and was contemplating whether to walk right or left when suddenly a guy bumped into him
"Tsk, Be careful kid"
Leus didn't budge, He just stood in his place looking at the guy
The guy seemed to be in his late teens, with red hair and red eyes, His clothes were lavish and he was wearing multiple rings on his hand
'Is that some entitled Young Master type?'
Leus decided to ignore the guy and continue walking
The guy looked at Leus' emblem in annoyance then mumbled something and walked away.
Leus took the right turn, and after a bit of walking he found himself in a market square
It was a wide street with multiple stalls and booths all over it
He walked and inspected the goods, There were all types of things
Clothes, Household objects, Utility items
Normally, Sellers and merchants would call customers and offer their goods, But whenever Leus walked in front of a stall no one would call him or offer anything, Only a few sellers of expensive magical items like rings offered him items
'Do they think that I don't have money or am I looking too young to buy clothes? ... That's weird'
However, Leus didn't think about it much
'It doesn't matter'
As he moved forward, the stalls became bigger and the goods seemed more expensive, After crossing about half of the street, there were no more booths or stalls but actual big stores
Leus saw a shop selling armor, Another shop was selling long swords and heavy blunt weapons and a third shop was selling short swords and daggers
'This might be useful'
Leus remembered how Blaze had a hidden dagger with him and wanted to get one too
So he entered the shop that had daggers
The store was big, and it had many items hung, From strange looking short swords to fancy-looking daggers
Leus was standing sideways and inspecting the daggers when a middle-aged man from inside the store called to him
"How can I help you, Young Man"
Leus turned around to face the shop owner
For a second, the shop owner's eyes widened but he quickly fixed his expression and moved forward
Before Leus could say anything the man spoke
"In this shop, you can find the best daggers and short swords in the city, But I see you already have a sword, I assume that you want to buy a dagger, Am I correct?"
Leus nodded
"Yes sir"
The man held a dagger that was hung on the wall and showed it to Leus
The dagger was approximately 30centimeters long and had a fancy golden colored T shaped hilt, The blade was slender and its tip was narrow
"This is an Obsidian Dagger, As you can see, It's perfect as a stabbing tool.
It'll suit a Young Man of your caliber.
The tapered point and slim profile reduce friction, Allowing deeper penetration to your opponent's body"
Leus held the dagger and inspected it
He didn't understand what the man meant, but he liked the dagger
'It's light and it looks cool ... I guess that works'
"I want this dagger and I want a Leg Strap for it, How much will both cost?"
The man grinned
"Of course! It'll cost only 3 silver and 5 bronze coins for both"
To Leus, that sounded expensive
'3 Silver and 5 Bronze? Isn't that too much'
However, he had no idea how much daggers cost, and with nothing to compare the price to, he couldn't say anything.
Leus opened the pouch his mother gave him the day before he first went to the Library
'2 Silver coins from the Guild missions ... Added to what mom has given me ... That's almost everything?'
Leus looked at the man skeptically
Seeing Leus' expression, the man quickly tried to persuade him
"It might be a little expensive but it's totally worth it! Obsidian Daggers are unique and symbolic! You won't regret it"
Leus sighed
'I mean ... The dagger looks good, right?'
' ... I want it'
He gave up and handed the man the coins
The man brought a black and golden strap and put the dagger inside it, then pointed at a chair and said
"Have a seat"
After Leus sat, The man proceeded to tie the strap around Leus' leg
"Thank you"
"Don't worry about it, Just watch how I do it so you can do it for yourself later"
Leus focused on how the man was tying the strap, and it wasn't hard at all
'It's pretty easy actually, I'll be able to do it without problems.'
After the man was done, Leus stood up and looked at the dagger tied to his leg with satisfaction
'I think it was a good deal'
He looked at the man and said
"Thanks!"
"Nice doing business with you.
Anytime you need daggers or short swords you know where to come!"
Leus nodded and walked out of the store, Leaving the man with a broad, mischievous smile on his face
'That's pretty cool, Now I have a dagger as well'
'I doubt I'd actually use it, I can create countless daggers, even poisoned ones.' 'But I want to have a dagger, just like Dad'
