A beautiful, blue-haired young girl nervously asked her father

"Dad Dad, will Mother be okay?"

A red-haired boy quickly asked as well

"Yes Dad, When will Mother come out?"

Their father tried to assure them by saying

"Just wait a bit, Everything should be okay, Your mother will come out holding your brother any moment now"

Despite his calm tone, He was anxious as well

'It's been too long, And I can't hear any crying as well'

He nervously looked at a closed-door

In the locked room, A young-looking woman was standing with a worried look on her face

She gently caressed the boy's head

She looked at the blue-haired woman lying unconscious on the bed

The woman began chanting inaudible words 

After she was done, White light came out of her palm and seeped into the baby's body, But it didn't do anything 

'The body should have been fine, But why is the heart not beating, I'll try one last thing, If it doesn't work then it can't be helped'

She decided to chant one of the forbidden spells

The reason this spell is forbidden is simple, It needed a lot of experience and delicacy,

If an inexperienced Mage tried to cast it then there was a possibility that both the Mage and the patient would die

The rules were that this spell should either be only used by very experienced Mages or under the supervision of one

Luckily, Remedy here is one of the best Light Mages in the city, So she didn't have any problems with using that spell

As Remedy chanted the spell, She directly sent her life force to the baby's heart

'Please work'

Within a few seconds, The heart greedily absorbed all the life force it could, And it started beating.

Remedy stopped channeling her life force and inspected the baby's face

The baby slowly opened his eyes

It seemed empty, Devoid of life, Just dead eyes staring forward without blinking

When Remedy inspected the baby's body, She noticed something 

'He's not even breathing!'

Suddenly, Something changed.

The color of the eyes began to change,

The right eye from Black to Blue, And the left eye from Black to Red

Then the baby started breathing.

Remedy was confused

'Huh? What even happened?'

She had no idea what was going on, Buy

'I never used this spell on a newborn before, Maybe this is how it's supposed to work?'

'Well, It doesn't matter anyway'

'As long as the baby is alive then it's fine'

It was such a hard day for her, Remedy consumed a lot of her Mana and Life Force to save both the baby and the mother

'But wow, 2 different eye colors? Opposing ones at that'

She looked at the baby's red and blue eyes

'It's unique, I've never seen someone like that before'

'I wonder, Is this the result of Heterochromia, or could it be that he has a double Affinity?'

Remedy held the baby and tried to put him in his mother's arms, But while doing that she noticed that the baby was looking at her strangely

She leaned closer to the baby and whispered

*Why are you not crying like normal babies?*

'If Blaze sees him like this he will start asking me questions about why he's not crying and why he's looking like this ...'

Remedy definitely didn't want that, She didn't have answers to these questions, and more importantly

"What do you mean unique? Remedy, They both are fine, Right?"

"Of course, Do you really doubt the great Remedy?

Trust me, Without me, At least one of them wouldn't survive, It was really hard"

"But they're okay now right?"

"Yes, I put them both to sleep, And I'll come in a week or so to check on them"

Remedy extended her hand forward and said

"Now pay up"

Blaze put his hand in his pocket and asked

"How much?"

She replied evenly

"3 Gold coins"

Blaze's eyes shot open

"3 Gold!!!!! Why? That's  TRIPLE the normal price!"

Remedy explained in a bored tone

"It was hard, It took long, and I'm nearly out of mana and won't be able to work for a while

And on top of it, I had to use a Life Force Spell"

"Life Force Spell? Was it really that serious?"

"Yeah, Now hurry up, I need to go"

Blaze looked at her for a couple of seconds then went to another room

He wasn't pleased at all

'That's a fortune !!! 3 Gold coins?

Not enough that her so-called "normal price" is almost 10 times more than normal Light Mages, She's taking triple that!!

I don't know if I should call myself lucky that I was able to bring one of the best Light Mages in the city or unlucky that I ended up paying this much'

Blaze opened a safe, Took out 2 gold coins, and added it to the gold coin in his pocket, Then went back to the lobby

There he found Remedy standing at the door, As soon as she saw him she took the coins from his hand and left without turning back once
