"I understand," He sighed, sitting as well.

"Don't worry, as the years go by, a few months of forgotten memories will mean nothing to him," Erlan said tonelessly, rising to his feet.

Sarell winced, knowing that those few months held so much for Prince Reqiel.

"I have to be on my way," Erlan proclaimed, picking up his bag.

"Won't you check on Prince Reqiel before you do?" Sarell asked, frowning slightly.

"I will be beheaded if I do," Erlan chuckled bitterly, "I'm no longer the Royal Physician, King Rinon had me replaced."

Sarell's eyes went wide in horror, "W-What?"

"I might not be around for much longer, protecting His Grace is all up to you now."

Sarell still refused to believe this, "B-But you did so much for Reqiel-"
