Your dreams and mine!

His transformation began with his bones cracking as they stretched and finally enlarged attaining a wolf like structure. A few of his prominent features began to turn as well. His fangs were already in view and his eyes were raging with red color now. As this occurred, his hands and feet turned into huge claws and then he finally burst into his true form.

Deimos's wolf form was unlike the others of his nation. He had a thick raven black fur all over his body with penetrating crimson eyes which appeared to kill their enemy just by sight. His structure was several figures larger than the other wolves of his pack. After all he was their alpha.

The sky was darker now and the breeze flowing was cooler than earlier. As the transformation finished, Deimos howled loudly, his voice reaching miles and into the ears of his packmates. He then began to sprint in the direction of the woods.

The ground began to quiver by the impact of his claws making a contact with the earth as he ran swiftly and freely. He could feel his own strength and blood rushing all through him as he sprinted through the deepest and darkest corners of the woods. In the middle of the eternal darkness he could see everything clearly and could even hear the heartbeats of other animals dwelling in the forest.

As he continued running, he thought about his dream, the one that wasn't just his but the dream of his nation, the revival of their kingdom Ardolf. And with that in mind, more strength pulsated through him and he ran more furiously unbeknownst of the fact that he was heading to the boundaries of Ardolf where it met with the Kingdom of Santok.

On the other side of the forest, Selene was still crying. She was sitting on the ground with her hands clutching her dress and her head placed on her knees. The forest was silent but still too loud as amidst the quiet of the nature she could hear all her thoughts so loudly that it seemed like she was still among people.

Sooner or later, someone was going to notice her absence from the castle and were going to look for her and it would become a big news if she was found in the forest in that manner.

After all a girl running away right after her father announces the news of her marriage would raise unnecessary suspicions among the people and it would bring shame to her family as well to the kingdom of Bellicus, and she didn't want either of them happening.

To calm herself down, she thought about her dream. The dream which had kept her training since her childhood, the objective to make her father proud of her and to live a true hunter's destiny.

She recalled some of the past memories linked with her training and laughed at them. As much as it made her get back to serenity it raised her worries that such life will be soon lost away when she would tie the knot with Alexander.

And just that one thought brought her back to a new feeling which she had never felt. It was pain. The pain of watching her dream being snatched away and not being able to do anything about it.

Because believe it or not, Selene was aware how much her family adored her and if this was the one thing she could do for them to make them happy then she would never go against it. She loved her family dearly as well and wished for their happiness and well being, and that's why she tried to convince herself mentally that this is necessary for her family and maybe with time she won't feel the same pain that she was feeling that moment.

She tilted her head up to look at the bright moon shining amidst the black sky, and wondered how light is only needed when there is dark and she hoped if she will find a hopeful light soon.

****

Deimos sprinted furiously amongst the darkest corners of the forest, he had no idea of where he was heading to but he continued with it.

It was mandatory for the werewolves to transform on every full moon night. In the initial days, when they were cursed, they would transform as soon as their eyes would meet the full moon. But as the generations passed, they were able to resist their transformation for a limited time, any more than that and they would be dead.

Because of the control on the transformation, the werewolves were able to maintain themselves by gathering in a secluded area for the transformation, so they would not harm anyone after they turn into their true form.
