Jordan’s Rage 1.1

Christian Walker

My eyes opened as I woke up a few hours later, and my eyes immediately adjusted to the sight of my mate curled up against my side, his head resting on my chest, his bare body pressed against mine and his pheromones invading my nostrils, but honestly, it was quite a soothing scent, and I sighed deeply, burying my nose into the crook of his neck where my mark lay. My mate...

"Kit." Gio whispered on the other side of Kai, "are you awake?"

"Yes." I murmured, closing my eyes, "is everything okay?"

"Dad mindlinked me about fifteen minutes ago." Gio said, and he sounded quite troubled, "I guess a few hours ago, rogues had attacked a village on the outskirts of our territory. Dad and the warriors had handled it, but a few of our people are dead, and we are needed. Kai has to come with us, especially since we freshly marked him. He will go into heat soon, he can't be alone. But do you honestly think he will come with us?"

I was stunned, because this is the most I have ever heard Gio say aloud to me, because he was not a very talkative person. The only person he has ever spoken to the most is Kai, and occasionally me, but I know now that we have marked Kai, he's not going to be able to just walk away for a period of who knows how long. Kai needs to come with us...

"I understand." I murmured, nodding my head slightly, "okay, we will talk to him when we get up. I'm not surprised that Jordan-"

As if on cue, Kai's bedroom door, which was originally locked, was kicked off the frame and hit the floor with a loud thud, and standing in the doorway was a fuming Jordan, whose eyes were glowing, canines extended, and claws out. His wolf was coming through, and his eyes landed on the marks that were freshly laid on our mate. But the loud noise startled Kai awake, and because of his grogginess, I could sense the fear rolling off of Kai in waves, and it unsettled me along with Gio. Jordan was growling deeply with such anger, and I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. My Wolf was taking this as a sign of a challenge, but I pushed him away, and I carefully crawled out of bed, happy that I had remembered to put on boxers before we had fallen asleep after cleaning Kai up. I knew Gio was still naked and so was Kai, but that was hidden by the blanket. Jordan's pitch black eyes met mine, and he bared his canines in rage.

"What the fuck did you do to my son?" He snarled, crouching slightly as he prepared to pounce.

"We marked him." I murmured softly, holding my hand up to show him that I was not a threat, "this was all consensual, Jordan. We wouldn't mark him if he said no or didn't give us his consent. But YOU are scaring him right now, not us. You need to calm d-"

"Don't tell me to calm down in my own house!" Jordan snapped, and he looked like he was getting madder by the second, "you just met him last night! You had no right to Mark him, not in my home! You are not welcomed here anymore, Alphas. I want you to get out!"

I felt my Wolf bristle at Jordan for trying to order us around, but I quickly pushed him back, "Jordan, you know we can't leave Kai. He's freshly marked, it would hurt him to be away from us. If we leave, he will come with us, because I will not cause him pain just because you are mad."

Jordan growled, "my son will not be going anywhere. Kai, get over here!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kai flinch and cower back into Gio, no doubt afraid of his father right now. I knew Jordan wouldn't do anything on purpose to hurt Kai, but with his anger right now, I know that he could accidentally hurt Kai without intending to, and I would not allow that to happen.

"Kai, stay there." I told Kai softly before I turned my attention back to Jordan, "Jordan, I'm just going to ask you once nicely. You need to get out of here, and calm down. You could hurt Kai with how unstable your Wolf is right now. I-"

For whatever reason, I thought I could get through to him, but his Wolf took over, and he shifted into his Wolf form, and lunged straight for my throat. Luckily though, I quickly dodged him, feeling the air whiz past his claws where my throat had once been. Jordan hit the ground, but quickly turned around, snarling at me as he bared his canines.

Kit --- Gio, get Kai out of here. Quickly!

I shifted into my Wolf, and I tackled Jordan, sending us both through the window, falling to the ground below us. I felt my body hit the floor with a thump, but I did not feel any pain as adrenaline was coursing through my veins. Wolves around heard the commotion and came running, but I quickly mind-linked them to stop them from trying to stop Jordan. I know Jordan wasn't attacking me for unjust reasons, and I would just allow him to get this out of his system before we sit down and have a nice long talk about how not to attack your Alpha. Jordan paced back and forth in front of me, licking his chops as he glared at me. I knew his Wolf had effectively taken over and right now, he had just issued me a challenge, and I wouldn't be able to stop what would happen next.

I'm sorry, Kai, I'll do what I can.
