Chapter 28: Dana Delivers a Message

The hunting cabin was just as remote and deserted as Stella remembered it being. As she’d hoped it would be.

Putting her car in park, she dashed off a text to Mandy, letting her know she would be borrowing the place for a while. Both Mandy and her uncle had given her an open invitation to use the place anytime. But she still wanted to make sure they knew she wasn’t an intruder.

Halfway though unpacking her bag, she hears a knock at the door.

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” She insisted. “What are you doing here?”

She glared at Dana, Bennett’s second, his beta, and his personal assistant.

Also a gorgeous woman who Bennett is comfortable walking around naked in front of.

“Relax.” Dana cooed at her. “I’m not here to kill you.”

This was Dana’s attempt at humor. Yes. Scary Wolf could be a lot.

“Cheer up.” She said. “I brought wine.”
