Chapter 16: Bennett to the Rescue

In the middle of a standoff of wills with her kidnapper.

Even if Stella was bluffing. The shifter Makenzie was pretty serious. At the rate his nostrils were flaring he had been about to blow.

Or shift.

Either way it was scary.

And then as if right on cue, the most amazingly romantic thing ever happened.

Bennett broke the door down. The whole entire thing. From top to bottom, half the door frame ripped off.

Boy, was he strong.

Man, was that hot.

Shifter or not, Stella was all in when it came to Bennett Orloff.

And he was there to rescue her!

In an instant he was through the door.

She was in his arms.

Makenzie was on the floor.

Dana, AKA Scary Wolf. Which Stella found to be the perfect nickname for the bombshell with an attitude. Who had him pinned to the ground like a mama wolf to her naughty pup. And in true pup fashion, Makenzie let out a high-pitched wine.

Never before had Stella ever felt so happy to see such violence.
