Chapter 10: Truth and Consequences

Only after she’d securely locked her front door, did Stella allow herself to crumble.

Slumped on the floor, she let it all out.

She’d been attacked.

She’d almost died.

Werewolves were real. She watched, spellbound as Bennett Orloff, her neighbor, the famed real estate mogul transform into something out of a horror flick. Right before her very own eyes.

And then she watched as a second man did the exact same thing!

Her whole life, she’d walked among monsters. Completely unaware.

If only she could go back to yesterday. Before it all happened and pause her life there.

Stella sniffed. Fishing out a tissue from her pocket. She swiped at her eyes.

It was a hard thing to admit. In the face of all this truth. But her feelings for Bennett were only increasing.

An image of his lips floated through her mind. He was so gorgeous. Those eyes. His strength.
