Chapter 38: Blood Moon

We followed the GPS in Alex’s car for about an hour before pulling up outside of my parents' house. I hadn’t called to say I would be coming along with her. Honestly, I hadn’t called them at all after they inserted their numbers into my phone.

We got out of the car and stood side by side, simply observing our new surroundings. The house was a two-story cottage-style home, painted in a warm and inviting shade of light blue, the exterior was adorned with white trim, giving it a more classic and timeless look.

The front yard was well-maintained, with a neatly trimmed lawn and a variety of blooming flowers that added pops of color to the landscape. There were a couple of tall oak trees on either side of the house, providing shade and a sense of serenity to the surroundings.

The front porch was adorned with a white wooden railing, and there were a few cozy chairs and a small table. The porch was decorated with hanging flower baskets. It was beautiful.

“Are you ready?” I asked.
