CHAPTER 31 Zara

  Wren's POV

I pushed open the door, only to find my mother standing at the door, as if she was waiting for me.

  "Mom."

My mother hugged me and whispered, "How are you doing? You seem to be doing better. Are you happy?"

  I nodded, "Yes."

"Have you sorted things out with Ralph?"

"Well," I buried my face in my mother's shoulder and muttered, "He and I are…"

I don't know why, but again I was on the brink of tears. The sadness that had been forgotten now was rushing back.

I thought I was dealing with it well, but I didn't expect that mentioning this matter would still make my heart ache.

My mother paused and hugged me even tighter. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

"It's okay,Mom," I choked up and said, "I'm fine. I broke up with him."

I raised my head and wiped away my tears with my hand. "But I don't know why I still feel like crying when I talk or think about him. I had already made up my mind not to be like this again."
