Friends of the Shadow King
When he felt that Darius was bothered by something, Nicholai looked around to find his mate. The mate seemed to have gone somewhere else. However, after realizing that Darius was only a few steps away, Nicholai decided to find him. After all, Enzo was only copying a few paragraphs from the books.
"Dear, is something wrong?" Nicholai walked behind his mate and caught Darius's shoulders when the mate backed off against him. "Hm… what is that?"
The shadow chronicler was already trying to make its way to Darius and the elder, making the two unsure how to behave. It was indeed partly the subconsciousness of the Shadow King, they should converse with it, right? However, with the way it moved like a broken wooden doll, Darius wasn't really keen on doing just that. He even readily hid behind Nicholai and pushed the mate forward to deal with it.
