There was nothing wrong with this, but Nicholai still didn't think this was a proper response to the trouble. He looked at Carl. "You should have waited longer before bringing another witch into the castle. We were just attacked by the Mirage Queen."
"Uh, so that was her…" Carl gritted his teeth. "Sorry, nothing much was sent to us outside. Artemis just came as soon as she felt the place shake. She managed to stop the snow and ice from causing damage to the village and the castle… but we couldn't enter the lagoon."
"Domino came for the crest, didn't she?" Artemis, the polar bear—erm, teen witch, frowned her little brows. She was too adorable for Darius to mistake as the same witch who would make those skull mounts. Wait, she must be the same witch!
